Room facilities outdated and not up to standard i.e tv very restricted because of being very outdated, tv precariously fixed to wall which would be very dangerous for any child, no comfortable seating as illustrated but a very uncomfortable folding bed settee in place, no coffee machine as promised but a small and very basic selection of beverages with kettle and mugs, balcony in need of thorough clean and tidy, bath/shower a challenge for anyone of any age, no hairdryer in room and no warning that only access to room was to climb two steep flights of stairs. Had a very comfortable stay. The room on the ground floor with Poppy decor was spacious and comfortable and the location is so quiet. Breakfast was lovely with a great choice of options. Eggs from the chickens at the top of the garden were a treat and looking out at the garden while we ate and seeing all the wildlife was a delight. Gluten free breakfast was no problem. Thornybank is just outside Cromer so we used taxis a couple of times, only £4.50 each way so definitely worth it to have the lovely quiet location rather than stay in the town.

This place has some fantastic reviews.....and for very good reason.|On arrival we were unsure if we were at the right place, as the whole accommodation is quaintly nestled amongst beautiful woodland and had the appearance of a cosy family home. We were greeted by the owner and her 2 gorgeous well behaved Rottweilers (the soppiest, most docile dogs you could ever meet). The room was ensuite, very clean and the attention to detail was outstanding. A well equipped room and bathroom ensured we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. |The accommodation is a bit of a walk into town, which we did in 20 mins. Some of the road was pathless so expect to get a taxi back if dark (only £4) from the town.|There is so many more positive things we could say but to sum it up.....all in all, a quirky little gem. Highly recommend!!!

We visited last week with our 14 week old baby and a friend, Ronnica was extremely helpful and friendly, she even provided us with a travel cot, blow up baby bath and a seat so we could save space in the car, nothing was too much trouble! She has a beautiful home which she shares with her gorgeous animals, her Rottweilers are the friendliest and most chilled out dogs you’ll ever meet and they absolutely loved our baby but knew the boundaries. The room was beautifully decorated with an en-suite bathroom and it came with tea and coffee making facilities that Ronnica refreshes daily, the room is very clean and the bed was extremely comfy! After a refreshing nights sleep you can expect a delicious cooked breakfast along with fresh fruit and cereal should you want it, I’m missing it already! I seriously cant recommend Thornybank enough, we would definitely stay there again if we are in the area. Thank you Ronnica 🙂

Was a wonderful stay for a short notice trip to Cromer to see a friend. Arrived after a tiring trip. Was greeted by Ronica and her beautiful pets. My room was lovely overlooking the beautiful garden. Peaceful, tranquil and a wildlife photographers dream. Decorated to a high standard and with all your home comforts. A short drive or longer walk into Cromer itself. A wonderful breakfast in the morning with plenty to choose from. I would highly recommend this B and B to anyone wanting to see the surrounding area but not be in the main area. Would definitely stay again.

Lovely peaceful stay. Weather was beautiful just a 25 minute walk to Cromer beach. Rooms were lovely and clean. Ronica is a very hard working lady and nothing was too much trouble for her. The breakfast was well presented and the cooked breakfast was delicious. We met all the pet dogs, cats, chickens and resident squirrel. We would definitely visit again

Absolutely gorgeous b n b.....Ronica was so welcoming..what a lovely lady... lovely breakfast and plenty of choice.....the coffee was lovely too..... everything was lovely and spotlessly clean with everything you could need in your room...set in a lovely wooded area and only a 7 minute drive to the beach......wish we could of stayed longer..... would definitely recommend.......Cheryl and Chris.......
