I give up with this surgery! It is as a working person impossible to get an appointment. You go to reception and they won’t make you an appointment and instead tell you to phone back at 8.30 in the morning which is not easy if you are at work and if you can’t get into the system at 8.30 exactly you can be on hold for up to an hour by which time all the appointments have gone. You are told to do an econsult which is not open outside of surgery hours and inside of surgery hours it has reached its daily limit. If you walk in there most of the time the waiting room is virtually empty so I’m not sure what happens in there or if there are actually doctors that work there any more. For all I know it could be just admin staff and a big empty building. I know they are building more housing and the worry is that it will overwhelm the surgery but if there is nobody in the waiting room how can they be that busy and why are doctors not able to see you when you go in. What are they doing if they are even there!

I had an appointment on Monday 20th jan with bad abdominal pain, had a couple of tests and sent away, by Thursday I was in agony, called the Dr’s (number2 in queue) and was told they would not see me again until my stool sample was back, they had only tested for cancer as I was refused the other test too. Anyway took myself to a and e (which I told receptionist I would do and she said ok) they were incredible, did bloods, urine etc then ended up with a CT scan, which found I had a severe infection, needed antibiotics and strong pain relief, I’m so sick of being fobbed off at this surgery, I don’t go often and think I know my own body! The receptionists are not medically trained and have no right to decide on our health! Had I have been seen they would have seen the amount of pain I was in. Something needs to be done as they are playing with people’s lives.

Trying to make an appointment is an absolute shambles. I called at 8.30am and was 7th in queue, when it got to me the call went quiet and I was cut off, apparently the computers crashed this morning. When I redialed I was then 24th in the queue. The receptionist who answered was absolutely marvelous and I would give her 10/10, however Witterings Medical Center only gets a 1 star. There's only 1 paramedic, 1 prescribing nurse and 1 duty doctor available today. I believe the medical center has over 13,00 patients. With all the new houses being built in the area it will become even harder to get through or get an appointment. Any new patients should take this all into consideration. E-consult wasn't available and apparently is only available when they have the doctors. Getting an appointment took 45 minutes (I know I was lucky and feel very blessed) even though there was 4 receptionist answering calls this morning.

Absolutely awful experience. We were running late for an appointment due to being stuck behind a hedge trimming tractor. I called to tell them and spoke to a lovely woman. When we got to the surgery we had to queue up for about 5 minutes, it took the atrociously rude receptionist a few minutes just to even find the appointment, then she said the GP won't see us because we were 20 minutes late. We were only 19 minutes late at that point, 5 of which were in their queue.
God I've never met such a rude receptionist at a GP. I will be switching the whole family over to somewhere else.

Absolutely amazing doctors surgery, never had a issue making or getting an appointment. All members of staff have been friendly, helpful and understanding.

As a large household with many health issues we have had nothing but the best care since registering at this practice.

Amazing service.
Needed antibiotics for an infection, went into the centre and the receptionist straight away sent me a link to attach a photo. Within 2 hr a nurse had reviewed it and prescribed antibiotics, these also had alsready been sent to the pharmacy.
In, prescribed and medication collected within 2.5 hrs, incredibly speedy!

I have received nothing but excellent care at this wonderful surgery. In very pressing times with Covid, doctors have called me at home on the day they said they would, and when I have needed to see a doctor they have been very kind, thorough and professional. The staff on the desk have been very helpful and efficient. I’m a retired practice nurse so I completely understand the pressures they are under. Five stars from me!
