I've been waiting over a year for an appointment the hospital asked me to be referred for. After eventually 'convincing' the GP at the time to put me in for referral - guess what. They never did. I'm on shared care for another condition, I'll let you know if The Willow ever keep their end of the bargain, it certainly not 'shared' or 'care'. Last time I called in need of a sick note, my diagnosed condition wasn't good enough as a reason but they agreed to write me a note this one time... If I'm ill, I don't bother, if I have concerns or long term issues, I don't bother. I can't even get a PHYSICAL appointment and phone call appointments are not good enough.

I'll be requesting formal complaint documents

I'm writing this anonymously due to previous experiences with NHS retaliation. The state of Willow Tree Surgery is nothing short of catastrophic and warrants immediate investigation by medical authorities. I intend to file a formal complaint as this situation has become dangerous.

The dysfunction runs deep: Their prescription system is completely broken - I've been attempting to reach them daily for over a week with no success. Booking appointments isn't just difficult - it's a gamble with one's health. The level of negligence is staggering, and I genuinely fear it will take a preventable death for authorities to take action.

One particular doctor's incompetence is especially concerning. When confronted about repeated errors, she deflects with inappropriate attempts at humor. Her cavalier attitude toward patient care is emblematic of the surgery's broader systemic failures.

After enduring this appalling level of care, I'm terminating my relationship with this practice. Their consistent malpractice hasn't just destroyed my trust in their services - it's shaken my faith in the entire healthcare system. The regulatory bodies responsible for oversight must intervene before more patients suffer from this institutional failure.

I strongly urge other patients to document their experiences and report them to the appropriate authorities. This level of medical negligence cannot be allowed to continue.

Not only are the receptionists mostly completely incompetent except for a few. In my experience they breech patient confidentiality. was waiting in line and reception staff came down the line and asked people what was wrong with them telling them repeatedly to speak up meaning everyone could hear these people’s conditions, Furthermore the doctors fail to be any better, had a few positive experiences with nurses completing blood tests but had an over the phone appointment concerning tonsillitis in which I told the doctor who didn’t even introduce themselves that it felt that my throat was closing she said that that’s an a&e job and she can’t do anything then after explaining that I don’t have the time to sit for 7+ hours in a&e she said I could take back this statement regarding my throat and start again then she wouldn’t have to claim i’m having a medical emergency she tried to convince me to retract this statement before i called her ridiculous and hung up.Went to the pharmacy next door and was immediately seen and given antibiotics far more impressed. In addition as a young woman every concern regarding the female health has been disregarded at this surgery the only advice “go on the pill” which i first got prescribed when i was 12/13 extremely young to be messing around this hormones, In conclusion they’re severely incompetent and the surgery is run ineffectively absolutely disappointing.

41 minutes on hold, being assured that I would be "answered shortly" only then to be told to hang up and call back later.
GP practices need to realise that they aren't the only busy people.

Was seen as a visiting patient by Dr Hussaina Abdallah, and she listened in an understanding and thoughtful way. I felt like she truly cared about my health concerns. She was empathetic, and invested in finding a resolution for me.
She also followed my appointment with a message giving details of a medication she remembered a previous patient had found beneficial.
NHS at its best.

Told call back again in the morning after explaining why I'm calling, I know everyone who calls thinks it's urgent or they wouldn't be calling. Ended up with a prebooked for next friday morning, which is a phone call! Then hung up no goodbye thanku for calling just a very rude woman with a disgusting attitude
