My brother who has altzheimers moved into The Summers end of 2017. We previosly tried 5 care homes which did not work out. He has settled in really well and calls The Summers home. His memory is not good, but the staff and management are brilliant, very caring and know how to calm my brother if he gets agitated. Highly recommended.

I've been working here for 2 years now. Great place to work, our residents are well looked after by our knowledgeable staff, with regular activities, a seasonal food menu, an in house hair salon and regular visit from the chiropodist and the optician.

My mum has been at The Summers now for 10 months, she is so happy and well looked after by all the friendly, kind staff members. I visit most days and there’s always a warm welcome and homely feel, mum loves the food and is always talking about what she eaten and her next meal. I can now sleep at night knowing my mum is safe and well looked after, we are all extremely happy with The Summers and it staff members.

The brilliant staff are always so friendly and caring and are well led by the management. There are plenty of interesting activities for all tastes that the residents can join in with. The home is modern and kept clean and tidy. There is a lovely, well maintained garden and they even have chickens! When possible they arrange outings and lay on special events throughout the year to include other family members. The residents have access to a portal so we can keep in touch by video calls too which was particularly useful during the lockdown.

My best friend who has dementia has been in The Summers for a few years now and during which time the staff have always shown compassion, professionalism and great caring. The rooms are reasonably spacious, clean and well decorated plus good communal areas. In the good weather residents can enjoy a pleasant garden area.
