I’ve been with the practice for 9 years now and I have always received excellent care. The new online triage system is amazing - none of the 8am telephone lottery to get an appointment or sitting for hours in the waiting room. Often things get sorted without me needing an appointment with the doctor. But when it’s urgent, I’ve always been able to get an appointment and follow on care. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and I can’t praise them highly enough.

Communication from the surgery is consistent and responsive. Being able to use the "contact your GP" online service is a useful and supportive tool (although I readily appreciate that many people will still struggle and some are being left behind with advancement in technology). My experience is very positive and all communication is responded to usually within the hour. My husband's recent contact with surgery was an outstanding experience. He was seen within 30 minutes of contact being made, assessed, sent on his way for additional treatment referral letter in hand. Two week wait referral made same day with follow up actioned immediately. Delighted to highlight excellence in a world where people can too easily jump on the bandwagon of criticism. I am writing this on behalf of my mum who is registered blind.
The Sides team provides excellent care and support. Firstly they let my Mum speak and listen to her before discussing with her a treatment plan. She always comments on how she has felt part of the consultation. Then there are the receptionists who are aware of Mums impairment and will take her to the consultation rooms when she is called in, keep an eye on her whilst she is there and if I am not with her they will ring a taxi for her.

Excellent surgery, reception staff are very friendly and helpful. Every GP I’ve seen has always listened to me and been great with diagnosis and treatment.Appointments are easy to book and the online forms are a great idea to stop you having to keep ringing over and over again in a morning to get a same day appointment. I have already recommended this surgery to family who are now patients of this surgery.

I have been a patient at the sides Medical Centre for years now but have never written a review before. However, I do feel credit should be given to this Medical Centre and its staff for its effectiveness and It’s efficiency In the care it has given to me as a patient. All it’s staff doctors, nurse, admin and receptionist have always been caring and compassionate yet professional in their approach, I’ve always felt that the doctors listen to my medical needs and took me seriously, sometimes my visit would result in me getting a prescription for medication and other times for advice on ways of dealing with my medical issue through changes I can make myself. Yes, there is always the issue of struggling to get an appointment but I understand and other people should too, that since Covid everything has changed and needed to changed and as such there is more pressure on Doctors as the footfall through the doors has massively increased, having said that I fully support the triage system that is in place as the Doctors can identify the urgent and non-urgent medical appointments needed. I also enjoy my GP access App, I receive notification weekly on many health conditions, you get advice on ways to treat medical issues through diet, exercise and over-the-counter medication. I would end by saying the The Sides Medical Centre Is really Exceptional and I Would recommend new patients registering at this practice for their medical care.

The appointment and admin system is very efficient. I am always able to promptly access the care I need, whether an appointment, prescription, advice or a referral. The admin and doctors always treat you with respect. What I particularly liked was when I was seeing the GP about the same problem, I always saw the same doctor allowing for continuity of care, and no need to have to re-explain everything.

Excellent service. The triage form means no queuing on the phone and is normally dealt with the same day and the most relevant person gets in touch. Pharmacist has been very helpful on all occasions and listens to concerns. So glad I changed to this surgery

I've found the care I received at the Sides pretty good over the years. It has become easier to speak to a medical practitioner thanks to their internet appointments system. Early and late opening plus appointments at other centres has made life easier when it comes to blood tests etc.
