Unfortunately the bed really let them down. There was a mattress protector on top but the springs on the mattress were popping out of the side of the bed. The quilt was thin and did not fit properly. But the room was very warm.
There is no blind on the bathroom
window. The window is next to the shower., so you have to pass the window whilst exiting the shower.The window is below the beer garden and the road and passing pedestrians
The location was perfect for us.

Visited this B & B for the weekend and I must say the room we had requires updating. The bed was awful the mattress had a mattress top cover which did not sort the problem with the worn out mattress that offered no support and had springs popping out of the sides. The room was clean but was not very welcoming the ensuite required a blind at the window as this was overlooking the high street, the sink hot water tap was like turning the radio on and we never got any hot water out of this tap, the noise from the tap and the extractor fan was like a disco. I suppose the price of the room reflected the poor quality of the room £58.

A very comfortable and quiet hotel with very friendly staff always willing to lend a hand, especially the young guy (it's a shame I didn’t ask his name). He’s a sweetheart and helped me with everything he could during my stay. Since I’ll probably have to return, I’ll definitely stay at that hotel again.

Actually it was a very good stay (2 nights). Hotel is alright, stayed in junior suite (Aquamarine). Bed was comfy (though small for two of us), room was spacious (with 2 windows). Bathroom with the bathtub, water pressure was fine.Continental breakfast was convenient, good enough)Staff was extremely friendly and helpful))Would definitely return

THIS IS A DIRTY HOTEL.
Bleach water doesn't make it clean.
Do not waste your money.
This hotel is nasty and dirty, and the food was awful. And the staff and their service were even worse.
The hotel needs to shut down and be rebuilt.
Spa , jacuzzi is not working.
We didn't even get the pass we asked for. And people who did had to get staff to let them in.
We walked around, but we were told that these had been broken for the past few days before we booked, but we were not informed of this.

No one told us about this at the time of booking or afterwards.
We were still under the impression from the website booking.com that this was a spa hotel.
How very disappointing. And misleading totally.
The room was dirty, the receptionist said l can only leave a message for the manager when we complained. No one spoke with us. And it was too late to book anywhere else. the sink in the bathroom was broken and glued back together. Rusty bin, dirty shower, water only dribbled out. There was no water pressure, there was dirty floors, cobwebs, and hair of all sorts on the floors. The carpets in the bedroom had loads of stains. Bed base was all torn and stained.
The kettle had loads of limescale in it.
But when we boiled it and poured the water out, the limescale kept coming out every time. So we couldn't even have a cup of tea.
There was a flashing pedestrian light outside that came through the curtains. So, sleep was not an option.
This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in.
I don't recommend any food.
And the coffee was cold.
We had to get our own cutlery as none of them were on the table.

Hello all, we haven’t been to this hotel although I am utterly disgusted by the email I got back after asking to do a paranormal investigation here one day, I was very polite and asked very nicely, and also said it’s fine if not, and got a horrible email back, picture below, I’m not sure why this response was needed, that was the first time emailing them. If the hotel sees this, I’m am super unhappy, next time, email me back politely.

The room was clean but a tad outdated! |The tv was so small you would have to have extremely good eyesight to see it.|The bed was very comfortable. Thats the only good thing I can say sadly.|Air conditioning unit underneath my room window comes on and off every few minute, all night! Needed to have ear plugs.|Noise from the other rooms really was much louder than expected.|A couple in a room on my floor spent many hours arguing, shouting, swearing |I ask them to please be quiet as other people need to sleep !|Had to get reception to intervene. This had no impact on their behaviour.|I paid for continental breakfasts x 5 don’t waste your money, cheap croissants, cheap white bread, slowest toaster ever.| Luke Warm water, orange juice had run out and not replaced.|Worst night sleep I have had in a hotel. |Complained to the manager and have had to call four time as no calls are returned, after booking three rooms at this hotel I expect a much better customer service especially from the manager! Shocking hospitality!|Definitely would not stay again.

Would have awarded 0 stars if the site had let me. The hotel management refused to refund a room fee that had been booked in error. The room was dated, bathroom was dirty and walls had peeling paint. ||The bed was incredibly uncomfortable and provided little support. Please, please, please don’t waste your time with the Shurland Hotel.
