I’ve been at The Scott’s practice from being a baby, I’m now 45 .. I was kicked off The register a few weeks ago as I’d missed a few telephone call appointments, I have chronic rheumatoid in my hands & swiped off by accident I would phone the receptionist back explaining the situation These were back in early 2024 & a missed blood test
I’d had attended appointments from October up until late January 2025 & it took them that long to strike me off
There’s hardly any helpf caring Drs working here.

I have a spinal cord injury & my Dr had shared care with my Specialist at N General, they asked the practice to increase a nerve pain med, they were slack in doing so & after another letter from N General they still didn’t give me the correct dosage

It was once a great Practice

Wow, I must say, I’m thoroughly impressed with the level of care my father received at your surgery. It's truly remarkable how a whole week of trying to set up an appointment on his own – without using computers, of course – ended in such a spectacular display of ā€œpatient care.ā€

The highlight was definitely when he finally reached out only to discover that the doctor was ill. Thank you for the wonderfully vague voice message; it’s a shame my dad didn’t have any credit to listen to it. Who needs notifications, right? Nothing screams ā€œwe care about our patientsā€ quite like leaving someone in the dark!

And can we talk about the next appointment? Oh, the joy of being told he can only bring up one issue at a time! It’s almost as if his many problems somehow exist in isolation. How innovative! Please let me know how the one-at-a-time approach is working out for everyone else; I’m sure it’s a game-changer.

It’s a pity that good old-fashioned home visits are a thing of the past. Nothing quite like having a whole surgical team coming to your home to feel just that little bit special.

In conclusion, I believe it's time for a new manager who actually values patient care. Just a thought!

Looking forward to hearing how you plan to address these groundbreaking practices.

Impossible to book an appointment despite calling their number and creating two separate accounts because they want you to book appointments online.
Their GP appointment booking process not fit for purpose (you can't get one), it is putting vulnerable people at risk and will drive people to A&E and urgent care centres because they have made getting a GP appointment unattainable.

Pity there is not minus star ratings. Never have i heard of a doctors surgery where you can neither ring up or call in for an appointment and the reception staff book you in.You have to fill in a form, then getting to actually see a doctor in person is a joke. What is with these telephone appointment ? How the hell can you assess someone over the phone ? and then of course you're not guaranteed to get a phone call even if its been booked in. Believe me i know!
What about the elderly who strugle to walk or breath and have no idea how to follow a link and fill in these ridiculous forms. are you just simply hoping they will keep quiet, not bother you and hopefully die. Because it certainly comes across that way.
Shame on this practice.
My advice is move to the practice next door they don't carry on in this manner!

What a joke. 10 years ago I could ring up and get an appointment straight away. Now they have put it to online. I don't use computers at all. I've been ringing for over half an hour. The hospital told me I have to make an appointment before the hospital can see me. No one is answering the phones at all. They tell you to get checked if you have a cancer scare but can't even get in the doctors at all

Have only just registered here and wasn’t aware there were two branches. First time attending an appointment for my 1 year old daughter’s jabs and accidentally drove to the wrong branch. Took a while to get there with school traffic, and then to park. Not ideal with a 1 year old in the car. Finally get there to be told I was at the wrong branch. Clearly my mistake but the receptionist says she will inform the other branch that I am on my way and explain what has happened. Get to the other one 30 mins after my original appointment to find out that the nurse has said it’s too late…. So I have to get my toddler BACK in the car for the 3rd time as we’ve just completely wasted our time by driving to the other branch. Inconsiderate and no empathy whatsoever. Very unhappy. Could you not have called me to say don’t waste your time? Could the nurse not have considered a 1 year old being in the car driven around for no reason? That is now another two weeks my daughter will have to wait to be vaccinated.

Thank you again for the utter lack of care.

Be aware that the basic service offered at this practice falls way short of expectation. My son, who's got an eye problem is being given the Scott practice runaround. Their policy of the patient comes last, and waiting on the phone for ever is upheld and comes first.. Big new building, low cost service.
