We had a most enjoyable stay in the Rosehip room. The staff are very friendly and the service is good. Breakfast was excellent. We enjoyed the two hour complimentary spa sessions and it was not crowded at the times we went. Loved the fridge with fresh milk available for use in tea and coffee and a big thumbs up to having a magnifying make-up mirror in the bedroom.|Two very minor points - the bathroom lighting in Rosehip is not really adequate and I am not sure why decaffeinated tea bags are not available in the room when coffee is. It was provided on request.

From the moment we walked we were made to feel very welcome. All the staff were happy, friendly and obviously love working at Norfolk Mead.|We were celebrating our best friend’s 70th birthday. We were booked in for the Prosecco and beer treatments. Never experienced anything like it , a real must do it was fantastic. We also had a 2 hour complimentary spa slot. Again offering fantastic experiences the Amazon rain Forrest shower unbelievable. Hot tub, relaxation pool good for muscles, aches and pains. After we spent time in the relaxation room sssssh. Fantastic end to a perfect morning. |Rooms, well we got an upgrade, never had an upgrade like this with a balcony oh my how spoiled did I feel. Beautiful gardens to walk round and evening meal very nice. |Will definitely return to The Norfolk Mead a gem well worth a visit. Thank you.

Spa Experience:
Half day spa experience mid week with a treatment and afternoon tea.
The spa although small is well designed and very luxurious. It did not feel as though it was overcrowded at any point throughout our visit.
The afternoon tea was brilliant, well balanced with flavourful sandwiches and beautiful cakes and desserts. The conservatory is decorated beautifully.
Unfortunately, during my treatment there was someone in the adjoining room having a treatment simultaneously and I could recite their conversation verbatim as it was so loud.
The Lavender and Elderflower treatment rooms have a partition style wall and this was the route cause of the issue (I initially thought it was people talking in the hallway/stairway which leads through the treatment rooms to the relaxation room).
In an email to the spa I stated had that it had been the worst treatment I have ever experienced.
Unfortunately, the email response I recieved although valuing the feedback and recognising this being an issue did not offer any form of recompense. They have stated that they are looking at improving facilities with the feedback and will undertake more careful scheduling of appointments.
I understand that it is impossible to achieve perfection at all times however I measure establishments on the way any issues raised are managed and for me this fell short.

Room lovely but on two levels, not ideal for husband with mobility issues. Had informed staff it was our wedding anniversary, a little disappointed no reference was made to this. Best massage ever. Staff brilliant. Will definitely be back.

We had a really lovely stay in this pretty and charming hotel. The situation is picturesque it’s quiet and peaceful. The rooms are clean and well provisioned. We enjoyed a very good dinner and breakfast the following morning.
The staff were friendly, obliging, engaging and good at their jobs.
There is a spa which looked most impressive and I would certainly think of using the facilities if or when I visit again, (which I very much hope to. )

A stunningly beautiful place. The service was excellent and the food was beautifully cooked, presented, and tasty, absolutely delicious. The room was very nice and every need was thought of including an iron and a nice welcome tray. The fridge of fresh milk on the landing for you to help yourselves was an especially nice touch. I just thought the decor in the room was ready for a refresh but saying that I would be keen to return and would highly recommend. A little hidden gem.

We had an afternoon tea for 32 people. The food and cakes were beautifully served, plentiful and the staff were friendly. It was very good value. |The room was extremely nicely decorated with a view of the river. |The location of the hotel is idyllic I would like to stay there one day.

Stayed just for a few days to recharge batteries.
The hotel is beautiful set within peaceful, and picturesque grounds.
Staff were very friendly, welcoming, polite and courteous at all times.
There is a couple of pubs within walking distance just around the corner situated on the River Bure.
