Asking for new patients but can’t give an appointment for 26 days, which is only a phone appointment anyway. Second time trying to schedule for the same issue, I missed 2nd call because they only let it ring once so missed my chance and have to wait another month. Absolute joke, been with them since birth. It’s a completely different place for the worse since the takeover.

Recently moved away from the area but have been at the practice for 2 years and think it’s one of the worst run doctors surgery’s in the area. On numerous occasions I brought up an issue I had, for it to be told it’s normal and nothing was ever done. Moved surgery’s recently and already got an appointment to sort it within 2 weeks. So glad to be away from the place. Left 3 online contact forms and they only responded on the last one.

Avoid this place and go somewhere that actually answers phone calls and also the doctors actually care what’s going on with you.

Only able to submit repeat prescriptions online now and they have only sent half a prescription request to the pharmacy and now unable to contact anyone over the weekend regarding the missing items that are urgently needed. Phone lines are closed and email is shut off until Monday. Terrible service for patients who need help but not vitally urgent.

It's a small surgery, with limited operating hours and may lack the 'in house' facilities of a larger surgery. My family are all registered here and I've been a number of times, along with dealing with prescriptions. I've always found all the staff very friendly and haven't had problems getting through on the phone, or arranging an appointment. A massive improvement on my previous GP in Croydon. They even sent a card when my daughter was born!

Edit: since they have merged with another practice things have gone downhill. Hopefully it's just teething problems. It takes a long time to get through (45 minutes last time) whereas previously I always got through quickly. Perhaps they have merged the phone lines?! I still find them friendly and helpful when I do manage to get through though.

Also, since the merger you cannot seem to get seen in Kenley, I always have to travel to the Purley branch.

DO NOT SIGN UP TO THIS SURGERY! I don't normally post reviews but this place warranted a warning to the public. I had recently changed to this is surgery as it's the closest one to me. It is an absolute nightmare trying to get through to reception, and when you do, you can't even book an appointment. I called today and spoke with a lady called Julia on reception who said I could not book a cervical screening as they're all taken or see a doctor and I would have to call back the next day to get a same day appointment. Thing is, I work full time and it takes at least half hour to get through to them and when I do all the appointments are gone. God forbid, if you had a serious life or death illness could you imagine?! You can not make appointments in advance and Julia actually advised that if I am not happy I should go elsewhere.. I wish I could go back to my old GP Julia believe me, especially after speaking to you! This practice is clearly poorly managed, I have been trying to get through to them the past week and usually you're looking at a que of around 60 people. Avoid at all costs!!! I have already put my application in for another surgery

Today I visited the Moorings Medical Practice and find the doctor was too rude. I had insect bite and there were lots of REd patches below the knee in both legs. I was unsure if it was insect bite of infection due to a plant. I am pre-diabetic.
The doctor was telling me this is a common sense that it is an insect bit and no need to call GP for that. Then he prescribe me antibiotic.

I would like to ask him. How is it a common sense for a non-medico person. Can i self prescribe an antibiotic to myself. Why for am I contibuting to NHS

Very disappointed with his poor service. I would like to complaint about him so that this would not happen to anyone else.

Since the merger with Keston, they seem to be doing the utmost to stop you getting an appointment.
Misdiagnosed twice in the past, one that could have had serious consequences.
I don't know why they want to develop a new surgery (& block of flats) on the opposite side of the road, the current one is always empty. Almost seems like the business is being wound down.

All of us (2 adults, 3 children) have been with this practice for the past 15 years. The doctors are good, you always get an emergency appointment same day if needed, and they will refer you if they need to. Some of the negative comments here are simply ridiculous, like the one that complains that s/he wasted her time visiting, as the doctor said that there is nothing NHS can do when s/he visited, although s/he had explain the case over the phone. A receptionist cannot dismiss a case over the phone! They need to see you first.
Yes, the practice is busy (like all NHS services) and yes, sometimes you wait for 20 mins beyond your allotted slot - but that's the reality of a busy, stretched and *free* health service. There is always Harley street as an alternative 😉
