Lawson Practice has repeatedly requested feedback, so I felt it was important to share my experience. In my opinion, waiting two weeks for a telephone appointment with any available doctor is simply not acceptable. Many health issues can only be properly assessed when symptoms are present, and delays of this length can make it harder to get an accurate diagnosis. For this reason, I believe a two-week wait for even a phone consultation is unreasonable.

Absolutely unacceptable the wait times with this practice. I first requested a form to be filled out on 4 April. It is now 30 May and it still hasn’t been done. I understand it is busy, but waiting for 2 months for a form that will take no longer than 10 minutes to complete is ridiculous.

I’ve been with the Lawson Practice for more than 10 years. Used to be good but gradually the ability to book an appointment is near impossible. The service they provide when you need them is not good anymore. May be due to the fact that as they say there are 17 000 patients on their books. Avoid if you need a reliable GP service

I wasn’t able to take the doctor’s phone call for my appointment because I didn’t expect it—I didn’t fully understand how the system worked. It’s also very hard to get through to the receptionists to book an appointment. I had called seeking help for a painful skin infection around my eyes, which were red, swollen, and made me miss school. Despite how bad it was, I was only offered a phone appointment in two weeks’ time. I understand that the NHS is under pressure and very busy, but from my experience, the system feels poorly organized and difficult to navigate, especially when you’re unwell and need help quickly.

Was so difficult to see a dr and get all the things like blood feet check diabetes check talk to the right dr you have to see a different person for a different test. Can't just see one person you gotta keep coming back in. For different checks for different things appointments, different days, different times it's a bit of a mess can't just see one dr I'm still haveing problems which I haven't got sorted out guss I'm just going have to wait to see a another or a different doctor or not? because she's busy. They don't do what I need from that doctor have to come in to see someone else lol so basically what i'm saying is at each time you need to come in for a foot check diabetes, check blood, check to see a doctor you've got to come in and see different people for all of these different things that you need.It just seems crazy to me that can't just come in a get it all done in that appointment I'm caring for my father and they seem to think I could just come in. I've got no one looking after him. So I need to arrange that each time that I need to come and see someone would be great if I get one appointment so I can sort out all the problems that I have with my health on the day not days coming in . O and getting your prescriptions is a joke can't really go into it on this it to difficult for me to explain but it's a mess jumping through hoops comes to mind

I was well attended to. Everything went on smoothly. The nurse was polite and friendly. There was a student nurse present however she sought my permission before attending to me which was nice.

In March 2025 I attended lawson Practice for a Pulse check I was told I should have had a blood test in February which I did not know we are in April no one from Lawson has ever contacted me about this even though they are aware I feel there is no duty of care towards me from this practice

Had my annual checkup and had to get the dreaded bloods done! Which I am terrified of!
However, getting the bloods done thus time were a walk in the park due to the doctor using an extremely small needle. The doctor was so lovely and reassuring. Definitely knew how to handle my phobia. All the doctors at the lawson practice are really lovely. I used to have a very very bad dialogue with a certain receptionist, but for the last 2 years give or take now she either doesn't work there anymore or she has attended a course In customer service! Her attitude was so bad at 1 point that I considered leaving the practice. However I only stayed because I absolutely love the doctors, nurses and now even all the receptionists are absolutely fantastic. Thank you for everything. Sindy Kavanagh.
