We were so lucky to have stayed here. A very nice spacious room for 4 people. A double bed and two proper single beds - you don't find that often. We were given a very friendly welcome. Fortunately, we also had dinner here - a dream. We opted for the menu of the day - chicken & bacon pie, fish pie and fish & chips. We haven't eaten so well for a long time. Breakfast was also offered with the overnight stay - again, a great service. Thank you very much for the great quaint British experience.

We have stayed at the Globe Inn three times now and consider it to be our place when we make our annual trip from Texas to Devon to visit friends. We wouldn’t stay anywhere else. The accommodations are warm and cozy, nice for cold, snowy January. We had a lovely view of the church yard. The staff are wonderful. The pub is lively, usually, in the evenings, is clearly a local favourite. We ate dinner here several times, delicious and reasonably priced. Breakfast was good. It sustained me on my long morning walks around Chagford. Like I said, we wouldn’t stay anywhere else.

We had lunch at The Globe on a very busy Saturday yet the service and quality of food was excellent. The staff, from the barman come waiter to the chef who served our food were friendly and welcoming. We felt like old and valued clients instead of the first time customers we were.|We also noticed that they have live music regularly both in the bar area and in their functions room.|Highly recommended.

Undoubtedly the best food in Chagford.
Big portions, always delicious, excellent service.
I have eaten many evening meals in all the pubs in Chagford over the last 4 years and it ranks no.1 every time I’ve been - so now I only go there for dinner.
It can be quiet at times & the decor is at times wonderfully quirky (do not miss the 100’s of Santa’s at Xmas!) but the atmosphere is still lovely for all occasions (I’ve been as a couple, with friends & family)

Had the great pleasure in staying two nights this week, in the “Wild Rose” room. Not sure where to start…. Amazing room, amazing food, such polite, attentive, friendly, welcoming staff. We will certainly be back, thank you all so much.

We had a wonderful Sunday lunch to celebrate a birthday as a family. Everything was delicious and there were excellent choices for vegetarians. My sticky toffee pudding was light and delicious and they were generous with custard. My pork roast dinner was probably the best I have ever had. My daughters fish and chips was primo and had fantastic chips. Truly excellent food and lovely people.

Omg !! Best pub meal ever ! The food was sublime ! I had lamb and my husband had fish pie unusually the fish pie was in pastry but such a treat! the flavours and presentation were second to none ! What ever they are paying the chef it is not enough ! Bread and butter pudding for dessert ! Again amazing ! Thoroughly recommend this restaurant! Lovely service and comfortable surroundings!

This is such a lovely place, the perfect location on Dartmoor, friendly helpful staff and amazing good quality food. This is the second time we have stayed at the Globe, and we certainly will be returning as soon as we have the opportunity. We have no hesitation in recommending friends and family to stay here.
