I am very disappointed with the practice. I'll contact them every day for the past week if not more. They never have an appointment. Every time they send me a text to fill up what the problem with the child and the response I get from them is always 3h later. So for someone who is working and having more than one child, how I suppose to make arrangements. And I don't understand why they can't book for the next day ? It will be easier for people to plan around kids and work.
I am very disappointed with the service that we are supposed to receive but we dont.

Just wanted to say a big thank you to Dr. Chopra for always taking the time to address any health concerns, whether they relate to me or a member of my family. I always leave the conversation feeling reassured and never have any doubts about the upcoming care plan, expected outcomes, or follow-up steps.

Also really appreciate Dr. Black and Dr. Peirson—they have been just as thoughtful and reassuring, especially during some of the more challenging health concerns.

I am wondering would ever be able to see the doctor? There are never appointments available, for every question is a "no" answer from reception team. I am truly disappointed with this appointment system and overall that you are not able to see the doctor where it is a usual thing to do when you are ill or have health concerns before it becomes too late. Thank you for the Duty Of Care!

I get frustrated every time I call, there are never appointments available, they refer to pharmacist. I've called them today, same- no change from the last time.

I used to think this was a great surgery ('used to' being the operative phrase here). Nowadays, it is incredibly difficult to access care. You're expected to either fill out the online form or call at 8am to stand a chance of getting an appointment — something that's just not feasible for many working people. I’ve tried to access the online service so many times during the last few months, only to find it already closed for the day, and from past experience, calling (when I should be commuting) would mean sitting on hold & being late to work - an unacceptable inconvenience I suspect most working patients would agree with. I know this surgery is not unique for implementing digital procedures, but it honestly seems as though Crouch Oak have deliberately set up their system to hinder patients and ensure most fail. Their excuse for this lack of actual patient care, is that they are overwhelmed. But how does that correspond with the surgery still accepting new patients? I’d be happy with a telephone consultation, an email, or even a text message — but these days, any form of contact with a medical professional at Crouch Oak feels completely out of reach, and patient needs seem to be far from the top of their priority list.

My mother and myself were spoken to disgustingly by a receptionist at this practice today. I have been a patient for years and honestly the service gets worse every year. Last year, I had 4 sick/fit notes sent to me with incorrect dates on. I had to contact the practice 4 times to have this rectified. I then asked for a doctor to sign a letter for the DVLA. The woman on reception barked that “well you know it’s going to be £70-£100” because it’s a private service, looking my mother and I up and down as if we couldn’t afford it. She didn’t even check the letter first, which clearly states the charge of £42 which is covered by the DVLA. She announced out loud my medical condition to the other receptionists for the reason I needed this letter signed, absolutely no empathy or sensitivity to my situation. I have also been told it takes 4-6 weeks for a doctor to SIGN this letter. The letter is required to obtain my license back after having it medically revoked for 6 months. Honestly one of the worst experiences I’ve had with the NHS. I will be making a complaint.

I recently had an issue with my shoulder and contacted the practice in regards to the issue and possible pain relief
I had a call from one of the Crouch oak paramedics on site - Paul. He asked about my injury, discussed possible pain relief and forwarded a prescription to my pharmacy
Paul followed up 2 weeks later asking for progress. All in all very satisfied with this service from the Practice - thank you
PS - Shoulder is doing fine also 🙂

From the last year I get one appointment until now just everything I need to explain on the phone.. and that’s not enough I need to see doctor in person if I will not see the doctor in person so why I’m paying my national insurance for Always when I call them they said there’s no appointment because of the capacity

Dr Anil Chopra provided an excellent service today. He was very caring and attentive. He explained the options for pain care and created a forward plan. I was able to see him face to face which was invaluable.
