Visited 30/11/24 for my mothers 50th birthday and was certainly not disappointed! Upon arrival we were greeted by Friendly staff, warm welcome, free parking as part of package - wash handed a robe and towel (you only get 1 so may want to take a spare) flip flips you do need to purchase if you havnt taken your own (we didn't as as being only a size 4 and 5 the XL would of been dangerously too big this could maybe be changed) however wasn't an issue as just wore our own shoes to dinner and to walk out the back,

Had dinner in the restaurant marco pier
Beautiful food, again warm welcome and Jamie made it very special! Recognised my mothers birthday, explained the menue well - gave recommendations and was just overall the highlight of the restaurant experience- he defo needs some recognition

relaxing spa - had a back, Neck and shoulder massage which was beautiful! Asked if there was any areas to focus on and made me feel very relaxed/comfortable being our first massage, Gifted a spa products set due to a mix up of not being put into couple room as booked, but the gift was a pleasant surprise! And so was quickly addressed and dealt with, spa facilities are very clean and kept together, ALL jacuzzies, steam rooms, saunas etc were working completely fine, they do run on a 6 minute intervals, changing rooms even showed the footie, spent a total of near 6hours here and could of easily spent longer, left feeling like new women, will defo be returning! And my mums 50th was made very special! Thank you!

★★★☆☆ A Gym in Decline – Needs Serious Maintenance

This could be a great facility, but unfortunately, it has been in a long period of decline.

My experience as a member for one year:
• The poolside showers originally had five working units; now, only three remain functional, with the other two permanently sealed off. The cold water bucket shower has also been blocked off.
• The pool has a significant number of missing tiles, an issue that has been neglected for quite some time.
• Tiles around the poolside are deeply stained and covered in limescale, showing a clear lack of maintenance.
• The steam room is underwhelming and has never improved—it’s comparable to sitting in a steamy bathroom after a hot bath rather than a proper spa experience.
• The jacuzzi is frequently out of service and often cold when it does work.
• The sauna, in contrast, is always at a good temperature and functions well.
• The pool is consistently warm.
• The gym itself is reasonable, and there is a good variety of classes.

With all these issues, it’s still an okay spot for a workout and swim, but it’s far from a premium facility.

It’s disappointing to see such little investment in maintaining the poolside amenities, yet there seems to be a focus on installing new security gates—an interesting choice of priorities when members are asking for better upkeep.

I have provided feedback several times, and while the gym has responded, no actual improvements have been made. The guest relations team is poor, though general staff are pleasant.

Overall: A functional gym, but don’t expect a well-maintained or premium experience.

My partner booked us a Groupon deal which gave us access to the facilites, the “light lunch” and a 55 minute hot stone massage for £197.

We were under the impression that we could order drinks to the outside adult terrace area however the QR code links weren’t recognising the table numbers so I had to go upstairs to order them and take them down myself. I was also confused as the same girl who took my order and suggested I take the drinks down myself soon followed me out and hand delivered 2 other people’s drinks … Downstairs / adult bar - or atleast table service - would be amazing!

Lunch - it wasn’t super busy for a bank holiday however we were told that they were very short staffed today. Unfortunately there was a mix up with our order and it wasn’t put in. We waited over an hour for food which was inconvenient as we could have continued using the Facilites, however the gentleman working today was very apologetic and made up for it with some complimentary drinks / knocked off charges which we really appreciated. Food was good, not amazing. My carbonara was nice but not piping hot . My partners burger was mediocre. Garlic bread a little doughy. But the Prosecco they serve is lovely.

The locker rooms and inside swimming pool area could do with some updating in my opinion, particularly the flooring and indoor pool seating areas. Also lots of kids which is fine but no adult only pool. There is however a very small outdoor sauna , jacuzzi and relaxation room for adults only . They need to sort out the Aircon machines in the relaxation room as they made noise every 30 mins or so and did disturb us a little, but we really enjoyed the space and even had a nap after lunch.

We had a really lovely couples massage from Becky and Elena. I’d return for the upstairs spa treatments but I wouldn’t rush back for the other facilities.

I came on a guest pass.

The receptionist was absolutely lovely, so attentive.

Facilities are good.
A sauna, Steam Room, Jacuzzi both indoors and outdoors.

On the downside:
My son had forgotten to bring a towel, so I asked staff as I wanted to to see if he could use a club towel. The response was, "No, speak English," I asked again, thinking perhaps I had asked too quietly and received the same disinterested response.

Later in the changing room, the two attendants spent 45 minutes chatting together in Polish, not doing anything to check the changing room area.

The bigger attendant ordered a young girl to pick up a towel off the floor by scowling at her and pointing. The girl picked up the towel that wasn't even hers ! and was ushered over to the towel laundry basket while the large Polish attendant leant over her like a school matron while she dropped the towel into the basket.

I really felt for that young girl who is a member.

In my opinion, this was pure bullying.

So unpleasant and 100% unnecessary 😑.

I did indeed let reception know about this as the young girl was clearly embarrassed and actually upset.

I don't think this type of behaviour should be tolerated by paying members or guests. It's totally unacceptable.

What if there were an accident or an emergency and none of the staff speak English? 🤔 🤷‍♀️

Not as fancy as its marketed. Lots of adverts trying to get you to buy more services (food, massages etc). Pool is quite cold and some areas often unavailable or broken. Gym equipment is very cramped and lacking equipment even budget gyms have

This was my first time experiencing a facial treatment massage, so I don't have any other one to compare, but I can definitely say that it exceeded my expectations. It was obvious that Ellie (or maybe Elly?) loves what she is doing. I was really able to feel that during the whole session. She was never mechanical (but at one point, I thought she has more than two hands :)). I cannot comment on other treatments etc. but from the booking process till the end of everything, everone was really polite and patient. So, I will definitely try full body massage and of course, once again, the facial treatment. It has been very therapeutic for me. Thanks a lot 🤗✨️
