The Chocolate Spa

We popped in to this lovely little shop/cafe on a brief visit to Alnwick on the way home from holiday. Expecting a specialist shop to be expensive, we were surprised to find very reasonably priced small bags of chocolate. We had drinks (decaff latte and cappuccino) for much less than prices in the well known coffee shops, and even were given chocolate truffles with our drinks - an unexpected and yummy extra. The lady who served us was friendly and the cafe pleasant and welcoming.

Just called in to The Chocolate Spa and what a lovely little shop. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Excellent choice of chocolates. Sweets too!! A wonderful independent shop. Just what I love to see.

Visited here for coffee. Coffee was really good and lots of tasty, naughty treats you can have with it like carrot cake and honeycomb tray bake. Well priced and definitely worth lots of visits!

Delicious chocs, a real treat when youre undergoing chemo & a chocoholic! I have spent quite a lot in this shop over the time it's been there. However I dread going in because the blonde lady that serves you is rude, snappy & makes you feel like she doesn't want you being there, it's an uncomfortable experience. This has happened every time she served me, not just a one-off.

Bought some take out drinks as we had the dogs with us. They were very nice! Called back later on in the day for some salted caramel dark truffles after trying a sample - delicious! A friendly little shop.

Discovered this place after having a box of their Chocs in our arrival pack of local holiday apartment. They were gorgeous and we devoured them. Made sure we called in at the shop during our stay and bought a nice big box to bring home for a upcoming birthday. Also bought a couple of smaller packs as gifts for friends. Lovely helpful young lady behind counter, very knowledgeable about what they sold and offered advice once she knew what we liked. Competitively priced compared to some other online chocolate makers.

Lovely selection of chocolates and other sweet treats. Perfect for presents or for treating yourself. Selection boxes are beautifully packaged. We enjoyed a lovely cup of coffee here, before choosing chocolates to be gift boxed for our daughter. A bag of truffles for my husband and pistachio nougat for myself were also purchased. Our daughter says these are the best chocolates she’s tasted. So, we’ve just received an on line order for Easter treats as we were so impressed with the quality of the chocolates. Excellent on line order experience and swift delivery. Such a great find on our trip to Alnwick.
