Rob and his team at the Cherington Practice are absolutely incredible. As someone who suffers with Thoracic Outlet Syndrome I was struggling to get the care or support I needed on the NHS and I was feeling pretty hopeless, until I found Rob! His knowledge and expertise are second to none, and he’s very kind and reassuring. After a long time of feeling abandoned by the medical profession I suddenly felt like I wasn’t alone. Rob helped me to understand what was happening in my body and to advocate for what I needed. I am now one month post-surgery and am finally starting to feel more positive about the future, none of which would have happened without his care and guidance. I honestly cannot recommend them highly enough.

I was recommended Rob Patterson after 2 family members had an excellent experience with him. He is an exceptional physio, truly one in a million. He has helped me get to the route of my intense back pain and fatigue and has provided me with reassurance and hope when I have been at rock bottom. I am now virtually pain free. Rob's clinial knowledge is second to none, and he has an advanced understanding of the connection between physical and mental health. All I can say is, I hope he never retires!

I am glad that I was referred to The Cherington Practice under Rob Patterson’s care. I have been seeing Rob for around three years as my case has not been an easy one. Rob is very knowledgeable and has been very thorough, while providing an excellent service. I never feel like the appointment is rushed and Rob always takes the time to listen and explain. He is also very sympathetic and understanding.

I have to complement Ally that works at the practice as well, she has been very efficient with ensuring the required referrals have been sent and follows them up. Knowing the patient by name when calling makes you feel like you’re not just another ā€œnumberā€.

Thank you Rob and team for your continued support through this difficult time in my life.

Rob Patterson and his team are outstanding at what they do and the service they provide. I have been a patient for some 20 years and they have been excellent every time I've needed them. The results I've had have been amazing. Rob never asks for follow up appointments unless it is absolutely necessary, thus keeping costs down. I've recommended a number of friends and family to this practice and without exception they've been extremely pleased with the service and results. I can't recommend the Cherington Practice highly enough.

I’ve used Rob at the Cherington Practice a number of times, for sports injuries, work injuries, general wear and tear. He’s always got straight to the heart of the problem, often diagnosing things that others have missed. His treatments are thorough and well targeted, quickly solving any issues. Rob never says ā€˜learn to live with it’ there’s always a way to make things better. Rob is a safe pair of hands, easy to trust, dedicated to giving patients the best possible outcome.

When I first met Rob I was in constant pain. Rob reassured me that he would do everything in his power to help me.

He promised he would employ a network of people to assist if needed, and that he did, by using his wealth of experience and networking skills Rob ensured I was seen by the necessary consultants in order for me to get back to myself and I can now say I feel like a different person.

Would I recommend Rob, yes, most definitely, unconditionally.

Rob was recommended to me by a couple of old friends after I had broken my right wrist and was experiencing random intense nerve pain. He put me on some extra strong painkillers straight away, and gave me strengthening exercises to do. I was feeling pretty depressed at the time, for obvious reasons, but I was really encouraged by Rob’s optimistic attitude. Apparently, I came within a hair’s breadth of having permanent nerve damage, so I really can’t thank Rob enough for getting me through what was a very sticky patch.

After experiencing a herniated disc and annular tear in my lower spine due to overtraining and stress, I was still struggling to recover 12-months into the injury and decided I needed to find someone with credentials beyond the average physiotherapist.

I was lucky to find Rob at The Cherington Practice.

Rob combines an in-depth knowledge of physiotherapy (as well as other related subject matter) and with his natural empathic nature and eagerness to understand sets you up for the best chance of recovery.

Rob was quick off the mark to ensure there were not any fractures in my spine in addition to the original diagnosis and explained how the pain cycle could be contributing to the lack of recovery.

Taking the time to explain what was going on, recommending resources like podcasts to deepen my understanding and giving me a small number of effective exercises and things to remember during daily life have all played a part in the recovery process

It should also not be underestimated how much the physio to client relationship plays in the recovery from pain, and this has been proven on numerous research studies.

I am now 80% recovered and able to mountain bike, run 5Ks and play with my children pain free, something I has lost hope of only 4-months ago.

Thank you Rob!
