The Central Surgery - Leicester

After a number of frustrating years when trying to arrange appointments, Central Surgery has really impressed me this year. The new telephone appointment system is much better, the receptionist is fabulous, and I’ve been given really quick appointments and really good care. Well done and thank you to the whole team for these changes. I could not be happier with the service this year.

I was expecting and waiting for a call from a doctor about my blood test results but very sad and depressing, I didn't get any call. On basis of that I have to go myself to surgery and ask for the results. The receptionist told me the results which I was not happy, she was NOT GOOD AT ALL IN EXPLANATION She only told me "the results are normal, it's fine"
I was not happy a receptionist to tell me my results because I had more questions to ask, but couldn't
ask any more questions to the receptionist as she's not a clinician nor a doctor.
Very depressing that Central Surgery Oadby is not a good surgery at all.
They DON'T follow the values of NHS nor NMC.

Diabolical. The running of this supposed 'service' is criminally disgraceful.

I've had so many reasons to leave a bad review previously. The total lack of care and follow up that my elderly mother has suffered with her cancer treatment. Thank goodness the hospital were so great. My own experience of submitting written information that would have resulted in a direct response from my surgery at home. Not a thing from Central Surgery!

And today, following a message to call them, I waited on their awful phone system for nearly three hours - I was supposedly in position one for nearly fifty minutes. This is the system they told us would be an improvement! I do hope this is the worst example of the management of a surgery as I shudder to think of it being any worse. No wonder so many people leave.

I have called to Central surgery oadby to make appointment and waiting on the phone for about 3 hours on the q then i decide to go to the reception. the lady in reception she refused to make me appointment unless if I tell her exactly what is the problem I have. I said to her three time I can't tell you exactly because is it genetical mens problem I have and I can't explain in front of everybody else here on reception. because people was waiting behind me und reception was full of people and she been very rude. she said ok then you can leave and have a nice holiday! we can't book you appointment without explain to me the problem you have! So I decide just to leave and come back home very disappointed.

I rang the central surgery this morning and was called back by the GP within an hour. I was also seen on the same day for a blood test and by the GP.
Thank you for seeing me very quickly. Very happy with the service.

After me & my family being patients here for nearly 15 years we have left and joined another practice. Ever since Dr Anniss & Dr Davies has left the practice has gone downhill. The receptionists are always nice when I call, but trying to get through to have the phone answered is nearly impossible, even with the new phone systems. We honestly hoped the practice would pick up again and be back to how it used to be before covid, but unfortunately it's not improving.

If there would have an option to give 0 stars i would have given that.
Called this morning at 8:00 to get an appointment for my son and requested a call back but there was no call back even after four hours, called again to check but was number 2 on queue for about an hour. I don't understand if something is wrong with their telephone service or what's the reason. Of course nobody calls gp practices because they are free everybody is calling for a reason but they are least bothered.

Called early and call went into queue, waited just over an hour then had to hang up as message stated I was 10 in queue and this happened for at least 20 minutes.
Called back at 11 and was back in the queue, 2 hours later when I got to 1 in queue I was cut off (at this point it’s usually lunch).
Called back at 13.27 and message said closed for lunch.
Called at 13.31 and was 14th in queue. I couldn’t wait another 2 hours so gave up.

Anyone looking to register with this lot should think twice.
