I had three oval-8 splints made in June 2021 to prevent hyperextension in my fingers (I have osteoarthritis). I had over-the-counter plastic splints before but they weren't very effective. I live in London but I arranged to come to York to coincide with a walking trip to the North York Moors.
The whole experience at The Beautiful Splint Company was fantastic. Karen Ward spent pretty much a whole day with me, winding silver wire round my fingers, soldering, adjusting, making sure they fitted just right. Nik Stanbury was also there to offer advice. The whole process was very professional, but also friendly.
They splints arrived (sent to my NHS hand therapist) when they said they would, Karen even rang me a couple of weeks later to check they were comfortable.
The splints costs £90 each which, considering the work and time that went into them, I would say was a bargain. I would recommend The Beautiful Splint Company to anyone.
