Totally satisfied with the Shanklin clinic. I feel like a private patient. They arranged for me to be checked out really quickly at the hospital. Special thanks to my GP Dr Sreeshyla for arranging my appointments. Also Dr Sreeshyla is the best looking doctor I’ve ever met.

I phoned today to try to get some help due to the mental health nurse I spoke to during an appointment 3 months ago never calling me back as planned, after waiting a month for the appointment; then my e-consult 2 weeks later about it being misread & dismissed as me trying to book/amend an appointment.

Due to disabilities & mental health, I really struggle with phone calls, but felt I was left with no option, despite the distress it causes, & anxiously phoned today after already being in tears over it.

The receptionist said in regards to the mental health nurse not calling me back: 'yeah, she's had stuff going on' - that was it - not 'I'm sorry about that, she's had stuff going on but someone should have contacted you' ? & she asked me if I'd chased it up before now.

I explained I really struggle with calls & advocating for myself, that I had tried via e-consult, but that was incorrectly read so I had been stuck until finally managing to call today, but her tone was very unempathetic & felt like I was being challenged on why I hadn't called to chase up sooner, when it took all I had to do it today.

I said I know it isn't your fault, but I need help, is there please someone who can help me, & I got the general enquiries email address. I came away feeling as though my disabilities are no excuse for not chasing them up on the phone, which is incredibly hard for me, but a mental health nurse & practice can not call back a patient about their medication as planned because they have 'stuff going on'. Me too, & now I've also been crying since the phone call because they made me feel so low & stupid!

They make so many mistakes their end, then make you feel like a complete idiot for them, when often with mental illness & social difficulties etc, you already feel that way. Who knows when I'll next be able to make a phone call again, it made me fall apart & proved to me there is no use in even trying..

The receptionist (shirley) was really helpful and went to great lengths to get me in contact with a doctor and after a few phone calls she did.i don't think they get the credit they deserve in the difficult positions they are put in sometimes. A VERY GRATEFUL AND HAPPY PATIENT .

I have been to sandown medical center twice and both times have been very good. Miss Nneka Okonkwo is incredibly insightful, clear and kind. I have had shoulder pain for over 10 years and have been diagnosed differently each time I went to the doctor's but after 1 experience with miss Nneka she diagnosed me properly which has been invaluable. I definitely recommend this Center and miss Nneka Okonkwo for help with any issues regarding muscles or skeletal problems.

Very disappointing. We went to book an appointment. They redirected us to call 111. We did. After many calls with 111, they said the medical practice should have offered us an appointment instead of redirecting us to them. They advised to be there the next day between 8:00 and 8:30. We did so. They couldn't offer any appointment and told us the doctor would call back. We missed the call and called them one minute later. They told us the doctor would call again. That never happened. We called them back and they said they ran out of appointments and we had to be there the next day at 8:00. We had to miss one day of work because of this, and they were expecting us to miss another one the next day to repeat the whole process. We decided to go to the hospital instead, because we couldn't afford to miss days of work just for the sake of it. Absolutely useless.

I rang the surgery this am as I had something in my eye I asked the receptionist if there was someone who could have a look for me the receptionist then said excuse me I repeated again she then said I will give you a phone number for emergency Eye clinic so I then rang the number that was given thinking it was on st marys hospital awaited for a ring back which I received they said they would have to assess me to get a gp to ring me back but then found out it was in Manchester so what a waist of my time when a receptionist could have said go to hospital receptionist need to be more polite to patience and not give out numbers that are not on the iow but I ended up going to the hospital I am discussed with this surgery
