I’ve had nothing but kind and helpful communication with all the medical staff in both Tetford and Louth. The reason for three starts however is the administrative setup that makes everything so complicated and user unfriendly. The Tetford surgery definitely lost its excellence in this area since the merger into the Newmarket Group. Admin letting the NHS down yet again.

I am usually at the Louth Newmarket Practice. When I need to come to the Tetford Practice the reception staff are always very busy. They come to the reception window as soon as the opportunity arises - where they can break off with what they are doing.
Reception staff are always professional, polite, helpful, caring and accommodating where they can be; informative and understanding.

I have also used the dispensary once, please see my comments above, as they go for them two. I have only seen one professional there so far, but she was brilliant and gave me information of my condition.

Having received a text on Wednesday advising me to book a covid injection, I went to the surgery on Friday to book. Only to be told nothing available and no date for the next clinic. I also wanted to book a doctors appointment whilst at the surgery to be told " No cannot do that, you have to phone after 8am and only allowed to book for that day. Contrary to the NHS website that states you should be able to book an appointment.

I phoned today to enquire about results of an X-ray I had in October. I was told that the results were received the day after the X-ray was taken & that they would be passed on to the doctor who would then contact me if necessary.
Lucky I phoned then or it seems the info would have sat in the tray for eternity.
Twelve minutes per appointment apparently & the last time I went I was waiting over 40 minutes.
Staff are always helpful but very badly managed.

I have been coming to this surgery for 26 years. There are frustrating times when you can’t get an appointment for a week or two. However, in all those years I have never had an experience where I could not speak to a Dr even if I couldn’t see one. I have my prescriptions electronically sent down to my nearest pharmacy. I have ongoing health issues that mean I am in contact on many occasions throughout the year. I have no complaints about a doctor not speaking to me or sending prescriptions to the wrong place. In my opinion it would be hard to find a better surgery.

May I start by saying the Doctors at the Wolds practice are magnificent!
However ,having to deal with dismissive, churlish and rude receptionists is a traumatic experience.
I have a child with a recently diagnosed illness that as a family we are trying to understand and manage.
I occasionally would like to speak to a doctor for advise or return a call request from the doctor, this seems beyond their capabilities.
As a family we feel frustrated and frantic and I feel the Doctors would be horrified by this.

Went for vaginal swabs they had no gel so used water pants pulled down to my ankles n no paper over me felt horrible and uncomfy but needed them done nurse was lovely but definitely put me of having anymore and even my smear test now

Used to be excellent but now part of the Newmarket Louth practice which I left to join the Wolds for. Unsurprisingly the practice has gone downhill since, a real shame.
