My mother had cataract surgery here by Ian Comaish. I was appalled by Mr Comaish's impatience and arrogance during our consultation with him. He took a disliking to us asking basic questions relating to the risks. His standard response was "I have patients waiting" and stated that our questions were "not valid". In total we only managed to ask less than half of our pre-prepared questions and he spent less than 10minutes speaking to us.

I felt unable to file a formal complaint as we did not have an alternative doctor. It was clear to me that he habitually rushes through his patients whist avoiding questions. I doubt any of his patients are informed of the risks.

I suspect cataract surgeons like Mr Comaish typically ride roughshod over their vulnerable patients abusing their trust.

My mother had the surgery and the result was not good.
When it comes to eye surgery do not accept corner-cutting doctors like Mr Comaish.

Twice, I have been sent re-scheduled appointments which refer to a previous appointment that they claim to have issued two months earlier. Yet they absolutely DID NOT send these earlier appointments to me.
Is this to make sure they appear to meet waiting list targets to get people seen within a time-frame, but that they are not actually achieving? I believe some creative record keeping is going on, to enhance how their service looks, so that GPs are tempted to use this service, rather than referring to the main Glos NHS Trust hospitals - which is where I should have seen the most appropriate consultant in the first place.
These delays caused much stress and was the major factor in my condition worsening, which ultimately has cost more to treat, therefore not good use of NHS resources.

On a less important note, the car park is clearly inadequate for the number of patients being seen, as there were literally no spaces left the last time I visited.

Amazing care and professionalism - we are not from the area (on holiday) and our young child developed Scarlet Fever. The night before we tried Swindon hospital with no success. Directed to Tetbury minor injury and illness unit by 111 and couldn't be more grateful or relieved. Receptionist is very friendly, lovely little child waiting room, nursing staff Louise and Ben were fabulous dealing with our child and thorough in their assessment. Treatment provided immediately with clear instructions of how to use and what to expect/watch out for. This place represents everything good and caring about our NHS. Thank you

I went in for a hernia repair recently. Such a caring, friendly professional team of nursing staff. The day ward had a radio playing which really helped to relax me. It's spottlessly clean thanks to the lovely cleaning staff who were also friendly whilst working hard. Hannah and Tracy who looked after me were absolutely fantastic, allowed my partner to come in the ward to be with me after surgery and even made me a cuppa and toast afterwards. Small touches make such a big difference.
The hospital maybe small but the positive impact on its patients is huge, very impressed. My consultant, Mr McIlroy was superb on every level plus taking time to talk to me pre and post op in a very down to earth way, really nice chap to deal with. Thank you everyone for your hard work.

I went suspecting I had broken a finger, was told I hadn't and was sent away.
After 5 weeks spent in a lot of pain my doctor queried why I was continuing to use anti inflammatory drugs. When I told him why he said "what idiots, how can they know it's not broken if they didn't x-ray it."
I went back and demanded an x-ray and sure enough it was broken!
After 5 weeks with no strapping on my finger it had set badly, I now have to go to hospital to have my finger broken again and set properly. All that unnecessary pain just because they were too bone idol to do their job!
After the x-ray I was told they'd sent my x-ray requesting an urgent appointment at the fracture clinic and I was told I'd receive a phone call from the fracture clinic within a few days. After hearing nothing for 2 weeks I phoned the fracture clinic myself. After some digging they found my x-ray which had been sent over but no referral with my details on! How can one place get it so wrong!
I now have to get my GP to refer me, all that pain due to the utter incompetence of the Tetbury Hospital staff.
I will never go to that hospital again, totally unsafe environment and a disgrace to the NHS.

I had an op yesterday and was well looked after by Susan and all of the staff and surgeons. The 5 stars is for them all. I give 3 stars to the system because I had to go there for a consultation which could have been done over the phone and it's a long way for me. I give myself 2 stars as I forgot my slippers and nightgown.

A big thank you to the nurses, Becci and Hannah, and all the other staff for doing such a great job. You were all calm, helpful and made me feel at ease before surgery. I had my lower wisdom tooth removed and the procedure from start to finish was was well executed and faultless.
