This morning my youngest child was sick and not feeling well. I got a call from school to pick him up asap and advise me to take a GP.
As soon as I collected my child from school, I took him to Swanton Morley Surgery, Dereham Road, Swanton Morley, NR20 4LT, approximately 09:30AM and requesting an appointment to see a doctor.
As always, we have to explain everything for a couple of days' activities. What happened/ when it started/ how it started/ what did you do to prevent it/ when you noticed it etc etc. We had explained everything that we could but still the reception lady ignored my poorly baby's problem and totally refused us to see a doctor.
We have said many times I am happy to go to another GP, which is North Elmham, 10/15mins drive from us, but the reception lady very rudely declined what we said and totally misbehaved with us, which was never ever acceptable.
She was a very unprofessional and unhelpful and rude lady. She shouldn't be there at the reception. This role would not match and fit for her.

Today, my poorly poor child was returned home without any appointment made by her. This is really disgusting and this is discrimination towards a poor little child.
We even asked to speak to some people who are in charge of the GP, such as the practices manager, but still the reception lady didn't answer and she threatened me and kept threatening my little child.
Now I am really concerned about my family and myself because of her insupportable and disgusting attitude.

We are helpless....My little kid is suffering for no reason 🙁

Friendly and very professional staff, always willing to help no matter how small your problem feels. The reception staff are lovely and kind and they always make you feel relaxed and welcome (even if you are there for something you are scared of)! Although it is a nurse led practice appointments with a doctor are also available. It can sometimes take a little while to get an appointment but on the whole they are very efficient.

Firstly I'm not writing on here to apportion blame, only to express myself in frustration as compared to the care I received during my life from Dr Strickland and Dr Hibberd the whole set up seems to have gone downhill. I do realise funding will be a major contributing factor in how surgeries are run these days but if I see my health deteriorating through a lack of care then clearly something is wrong. I am semi-retired, have a part-time job and do my best to keep myself active and contribute to the community and the economy but to do so I need to remain as well as possible. Currently, I feel I am suffering from five physical ailments needing attention plus a list of mental health issues, how can I possibly make an appointment for ONE thing. At the moment I don't know where one ailment starts and another one finishes, all I do know is that the stress and anxiety caused at trying to make suitable appointments makes me feel worse and more anxious and isolated. Having been told on Christmas Eve that I needed to see the Doctor as soon as Christmas was over I have yet to make it happen. Several phone calls at various intervals to try and get an appointment on the same day have only resulted in the phone ringing and then cutting itself off ( hopefully I am not being cut off deliberately ? ). I plucked up the courage ( yes I needed courage ) to call in at the surgery to try and get a same day appointment ( necessary because of the medical issue concerned ) only to be told there were none available. I explained the problems I had been experiencing by phone only to be told how busy she had been and that there were only 3 lines. So does that mean there is not enough staff to answer them ? or there arn't enough lines ? ( in which case, if not, then the lack of staff would only make things worse ). Triage is not an option as I have already spoken over the phone. We as a society are all being shoved down the same route of 1) on line 2) telephone 3) actually speaking to someone face to face, what a sad world we live in that I have to review on line to express my opinions. It is no wonder we are all stressed up to the eye balls ! 🙁
