Camhs, not the easiest place for parking, reception is extremely bare at the moment and only one family at a time are allowed in.
Long waiting list, can be hard to get hold of them. The trust will not allow the diagnosis of PDA at the moment as they do not recognise it as real despite plenty of evidence that it does and despite its being recognised by other areas.

CAMHS - Quick assessments with little consideration for the overall picture, very challenging staff and quick to discharge patients. Motto seems to be 'let's not worry about the what ifs, let's wait until something bad happens before we do anything'. I understand funding shortages, but this having a reactive approach instead of a proactive one will only cause harm to children and a lasting negative impact. Feel free to challenge decisions - but through the correct procedure. It's your kids wellbeing not theirs, so to them it's just another box to tick, whereas to you it's the most important person you care about. They've lost sight of what matters.
