What an amazing hub of people. We were made to feel so welcome and Simon H and other Simon saved our oil filled radiator from being taken to the tip. It was a strange electrical fault but Simon H persisted and found the issue and then with other Simon, they tested and re-assembled and pat tested it for us, so we have the assurance that it is safe to use. I heartily recommend the Sussex Green Living/Horsham Repair hub to anyone.

I brought a shredder to the repair cafe. The volunteer engineer, Andrew, took it apart, and together we saw that the plastic holding the cogs that turn the actual shredding wheels was perished. This is such a useful service, because now I know that the shredder is not repairable, I can feel comfortable in buying a new one. Andrew was very patient and kind and explained exactly how it all worked. Thank you to all the volunteers on the day, a brilliant service.

Really excellent repair hub - great they have timed slots which I don't think many do. Very friendly and Andrew mended my toaster very efficiently. Only improvement I can think of it to let people know where to park when confirming the appointment - this can just be a standard addition to the email template. Great experience all round, thank you!

Went to the Repair Cafe for the first time in ages on Saturday. A warm welcome, our poorly desk lamp had been booked in and Simon fixed it with minimal fuss. Totally recommended.

I took an item that needed repairing to the Repair Cafe and was very impressed to see the site was so organised and well staffed. A really busy hub with lots of helpful and knowledgeable volunteers assisting visitors to assess and repair a range of items, including electrical and clothing. A terrific community support service, I'm very grateful for the help I received and will definitely be recommending it to others and going again.

The repair cafe at URC Horsham, kindly agreed to mend my broken small suitcase handle on the 30th August. Simon, had to drill out the broken spindle and put a new one in to mend the leather handle.

I booked an appointment with Sussex Green Living’s Repair Café as I have a much-loved pair of trousers that had worn through at the knee. I don't have access to a sewing machine, so I wanted to extend their life with a proper repair. I was paired with a lovely helper who made me a patch and talked me through how to complete the repair at home. I now have a brilliant patterned patch! We also chatted about the Japanese art of repairing clothes using sewing and embroidery techniques. The whole process only took about 20 minutes. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. I’ll definitely look to book again if I need anything else repaired. I was happy to leave a small donation for their time. Easy to find too — just by the new HDC offices in a church.
