Requested prescription online as instructed to do so by the practise nothing came through then you spend an hour on the phone waiting to speak to some one and then get to the front of the queue and phone then rings for 20 minutes for nobody to pick up
How are we to get access to our medication?

Oh dear! 1 hour and 20 minutes to speak to a receptionist! Really not acceptable. I wish I could say this was a one off but it’s not. No matter what time of day it’s not unusual to have to wait an hour to get through. Whilst the receptionists are friendly and always do their best to help, a few of the doctors could learn from their example and smile at their patients.

I had been feeling unwell for a couple of weeks, mild cold and cough. it had caused severe pains in my chest, so I realised this was getting worse and had to call the surgery. after a thorough examination Dr Smith prescribed a course of Steroids, within 24hrs of taking this I am well on the mend and feeling so much relief. I must thank the Reception staff for there kind help and speedy appointment (within a 2min phone call) and Dr. Smith for his Magic Potion.

Called the practice this morning about a number of things and was lucky enough to speak to one of the most friendly and helpful receptionists in a Doctor’s surgery ever. I hope the practice know how fortunate they are to have Joyce Hamilton representing them. So refreshing!

This building hosts two different practices, Avondale Medical Group and Alba Medical Group. It also hosts community clinics covering a variety of needs. Conveniently situated near the centre of town it has adequate parking and there are toilets on the premises.

Getting an appiontment there is like getting a six in Lotto maybe if they had a practice manager who cared things could improve. Unfortunately can't give a 5 star negative rating which is the actual rating it deserves

For those people reading this that may have read my complaint about arranging a consultation, I am pleased to say that my life has possibly been saved, or possible paralysis avoided by the intervention of Dr Rehman of the practice. Due to this intervention, I was given immediate attention at Greenhills surgery by Practice Nurse "Paula", whom performed a very thorough examination, and gave me a lot of information regarding "TIA". It is VERY IMPORTANT to report to a surgery immediately after any form of "TIA" , which very possibly develops into a major stroke in a matter of days later.
So a big Thank You to Dr Rehman and Nurse Paula, I have sincerely appreciated your very fast reaction to my initial problem.
