I want to express my heartfelt thanks at the speed that Stokewood moved after my wife submitted an e consult last Monday.it was followed by an immediate phone call for an appointment that afternoon and also by a phone call next morning from Winchester Hospital for an appointment at the Stroke Clinic that afternoon! So just over 24 hours ater the initial e consult she had treatment and follow up tests for a mini stroke.I can only speak as I find with a huge thank you to all at Stokewood and Winchester Hospital for the speed at which they moved to ensure that she received the immediate care that she needed.

Torn on the review for here because some things are good and some not so good. The wait time on the phone to get through is ridiculous and is always way way too long. The reception staff tend to be over stressed whenever you speak to them in person. The nurse that I have seen for blood tests and the like is very nice and helpful and friendly and is a credit to the practice. When asking about results she was able to be very patient and calm and helpful so hence why score of 4. The wait times and front of staff service needs to be changed though. Enough parking here to park. Just beware whenever you have an appointment you normally get seen around 10/15 mins after your appointment time so don’t have an appointment and then be needing to rush somewhere else because you might be late for next appointment/task. When you go into the surgery there in a self service check in on your right hand side - just click whether male or female and then your DOB and then you’ll be checked in and then you can sit in the waiting room and your name will show up on the TV screen when the doc/nurse is ready to see you.

Had a blood test over a week ago, spent 45 minutes on hold this morning for the line to cut off. Completed an E-Consult in the hope that this may prompt an appointment...received a text message to say my E-Consult has been triaged, the GP wants to see me but the appointment wait is 5 weeks! So from my initial E-Consult to actually seeing a doctor could be 7 weeks. How is this possible and acceptable?

When you do see a doctor at the surgery they are lovely, and have been amazing in the past with any issues I've had for my children. But 5 weeks for a follow up appointment for blood test isn't acceptable

So many complaints going around about GP surgeries, I wanted to share a positive! Monday morning (busy time!) I did an econsult at 8.30 - much easier than a call, no waiting in line!. At 9.15 was called by the surgery to book me in that morning! Seen by a lovely knowledgeable ANP at 10.20! Prescription done, now starting to feel much better! (Back to work tomorrow!) Thank you Stokewood!

Best surgery around. Never had any issues with Stokewood but tonight really was outstanding NHS service from Dr. Lyon’s and Sarah (receptionist). Contacted the surgery at around 4:30pm regarding my son. Sarah had no hesitation to get our 2 year old in for an urgent appointment. She was very helpful and sympathetic and within an hour, Dr. Lyon’s called me and asked to bring our son to the surgery. By 5:45pm, we were seen. Dr. Lyon’s thoroughly checked everything from our sons chest, throat, ears etc to heart rate, oxygen, temp. Dr. Lyon’s was extremely playful but professional and made our son feel comfortable and safe. Luckily it is just a viral infection but Dr. Lyon’s expressed that even a worried parent is a good enough reason to get an appointment and it is no waste of time at all. She also contacted Winchester Hospitals 24/7 service that will be available for any concerns or further check ups overnight if necessary (the hospital has contacted me since). Absolute angel of a doctor and I couldn’t thank her and Sarah enough for how great they both were. Highly recommend!

No option to speak to a human being, spent best part of an hour going around in circles on the useless e-consult portal. No follow up to this at all and then three weeks later finally received a letter with a consultation booking code, however when I used the code the website informed me that there were no consultations available. Filled in details on the online form about times/dates when I could be phoned but never got contacted in any form. Tried to re-use the code to chase up but it no longer worked. Now more than three months on I've got nowhere and have still not spoken to a single person. Utterly appalling third world 'health care'! Disgusted!
