I am so grateful I came to Elizabeth House steps together, which is a secondary care rehab really focused on living in recovery. I have taken so much from my time here and am ready to practice what I have learnt on a daily basis. The staff have been incredible every single staff member is in recovery and has contributed so much to my own growth and recovery. Even out side of groups and therapy they are all available to talk to sharing valuable experience strength and hope and teaching us tools and techniques to cope with life and staying away from any substances. I honestly can't thank them enough and feel so privileged to have them be a part of my story and journey.
The house feels like a home and I will be forever grateful I've taken so much from my time here.

Following on from my 28 days in Steps primary care facility, Bank House, I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to move on to secondary care at Elizabeth House for two further months in order to strengthen and deepen my recovery. That decision has been fundamental in me achieving long term sobriety and put simply, was the best decision I have ever made in my life and that’s no understatement!

As a whole, both in my time in primary care in Bank House and secondary care at Elizabeth House I have been so impressed with Stepstogether as an organisation. As I have mentioned, I have been to other rehabilitation centres in the past and for me and my experience Stepstogether have shone out above the rest. You can really tell that the organisation and all the teams are working toward the same goal, that is to give the very best care both clinical and therapeutic to each and every individual that walks through their doors

My continued recovery now mainly lies with a 12 Step Fellowship and I cannot stress the importance of that as well but the Stepstogether aftercare services are always available and I know I can pick up the phone to Elizabeth House whenever I need, day or night.

I would like to end by saying that there is a solution and we can recover one day at a time and for me secondary care gave me the best chance in achieving sustained, long term recovery, this time around.

I’ll never forget my time at Elizabeth House. It has to be one of best 12 Step Recovery facilities in the UK, if not THE best. I can only compare it with one experience in the past where I was made to feel much like a criminal for the state my life had gotten into through drugs and alcohol. I carry the responsibility for my actions and must deal with the consequences thereof, but Steps Together’s entire approach to addiction recovery was rooted in a much deep understanding of the illness of addiction which gave me hope for change in my life
