I've been going to this surgery for a while now and my last experience has made me never want to go back!

I went in and saw a "paratice nurse" who completely ignored my symptoms and just told me to take painkillers.
I considered rebooking another appointment a few days later with a different Dr but they didn't answer.
I went to a pharmacist who said I needed to see a Dr urgently.
I go to a walk in center, got my diagnosis straight away. The Dr I saw was very surprised that I had been turned away. I have a kidney infection now thanks to this surgery not listening to me when I was saying they were wrong.
I feel very let down by stanely health surgery and ignored.

Staff always lovely, the GP and ANNP I’ve seen has been absolutely amazing, quick, and on point. Just a massive shout out to the receptionist that I spoke to today that waited for the waiting area to clear (a man to leave) before asking for my address - you made me trust you and feel safe, thank you?

After 40 years with this practice, which I have always found to be professional and polite. My last two visits I have found the doctors down right rude and unprofessional. The reception staff as usual are delightful, professional and helpful. Doctors you need to take a look at the way you are with the people, you may be overworked and underpaid like the rest of us but good manners and a touch of human kindness will not kill you.

Since being a patient from 2006 the surgery as dramatically changed losing some A* Doctors most of all Dr Brighton however Dr, Fsase, Niven, Al Sayeed (excuse the spelling) and nurses have done a excellent job treating me

Ive been with this paractice for years..at first it was a good place to be seen.over the last few years its become impossible to get an appointment on the day,then when ive gone into the surgery theres one or two folk waiting! Lack of doctors? Not good enough! Im on repeat meds,ask for a prescription signing before i run out...nope! Im without meds for nearly a week..after ringing daily to prompt...ive for scans & camera over past weeks,not heard from doc re this,ive phoned and asked for call back..nope again! I guess im fit ( i know im not lol) Stanley surgery.....1 good doctor ( when shes available) 2 receptionists when they answer phone...

Such a fantastic service at Stanley Health Centre today. I was seen very quickly, the Doctor was polite, friendly and highly skilled. Stanley Health Centre has implemented some huge changes recently, including recruiting new Doctors and the implementation of a new phone system, which both make accessing primary care treatment much easier for patients. The Doctors are really nice, amazing and talented. Thank you so much!

People need to get a grip, got one idiot advertising her book on Amazon, then a load of arrogant people moaning about not getting an appointment. When parents stop popping out 5 to 6 children to each family, the surgeries & hospitals won't have to deal over populated estates etc.

Karen answered the phoned, and managed to get me in for an appoinment on the 2nd morning of trying. Proper lovely lass, polite and considerate of my request for a GP.

You lot remind me of the preacher on Skyrim, "Rise up, Rise up arrogant sods!"

All GP practices have changed how they operate. Like it or not that’s how it is. People need to accept it. I do think Stanley needs a few more GP’s . That said, I’ve always received the best care . I’ve always found the staff polite and helpful, over the phone and face to face. People seem quick to attack the medical receptionists, but they are trained to help get you the right care. If they ask what the problem is, it’s to aid you, not them.
