My Osteopath, James Thomas, is beyond outstanding. He has treated me for a few years and also my son. James always makes me feel very comfortable, he takes the time to listen carefully, not only to physical but also emotional life stresses.
Over the years, prior to finding Stamford Osteopathic Clinic, I have had a variety of other sports related treatments but the treatment here is the best I’ve experienced. The level of knowledge and skill is phenomenal. I visit an average of once a month and will continue to do so. I always leave there feeling more supple, relaxed and amazing.

We booked an appointment for our baby as we thought his movement was stiff, with viraj. Viraj immediately was able to tell us the underlying cause along with many other interesting things of note that we had struggled with, that I never thought an osteopath could diagnose, let alone fix. I can only really describe him as a magician! My only regret is that we didn't go sooner.

I never thought I would ever try an osteopath, but after weeks of debilitating head and neck pain, with prescription painkillers making me feel worse, on a friend's recommendation, I made an appointment with James. After a complete course of 3 sessions I am almost 100% pain free and have some exercises to continue doing now the sessions have finished. I cannot believe the difference, and other than the pain relief, I would also say that I feel better in myself than I have in years. James clearly explains what he is doing which I liked, especially as I had absolutely no idea what to expect. I would highly recommend James and really appreciate the care he took with me.

I have nothing but praise for my treatment by James Thomas at The Stamford Osteopathic Clinic. After taking a thorough history and carrying out a hands-on examination he created a programme of graded exercises which have successfully reversed several years of hip instability. The exercises were tough enough to be a motivating challenge but never so difficult that I was discouraged.
I was particularly impressed by the holistic approach of looking at the body as a whole. After noticing back stiffness (that I’d always dismissed as being ‘my age’) James carried out lumbar and sacroiliac manipulations that made it vanish overnight, and also prescribed exercises to help a historic shoulder injury.
I’m delighted with the treatment I received.
