It's a bit of a hard place to describe to be honest if you didn't know it was a authority of some sort you would just drive by thinking it was a block of flats , but I must be honest if you have an appointment here the staff are absolutely outstanding, so friendly and polite very impressive what's nice is that it doesn't feel like a false greeting the staff seem really genuine. I attended an appointment with my partner & it was very straightforward to say the least 👍

Absolutely useless social worker called Demelza has no consideration for grieving family members and pushes them away from their loved ones, doesn't include the next of kin in anything she is doing, and she should be fired, she's the worst social worker I’ve ever come across and doesn’t have a clue what people are going through with a relative that has dementia. She should not be in this field of work, no empathy or even sympathy whatsoever. Total robot.

For three years I pleaded with east sussex social services to help my mother who was suffering from poor mental and physical health.

They had many meetings and promised help, however social services ultimately did nothing until she was dying. At this point the kindly offered her place her in a care home.

After her death they did not reply to the families messages for support until a week late. There was not a "sorry for your loss" message, just we can't help you any further.

Once I've had time to calm down. I will be making a formal complaint against East Sussex adult social services.

Failing patients, failing families, failing the community. They refuse to listen families and take the action that only they are empowered to do. Four years of absolute hell for a loved one and family members because they are too arrogant to listen the voice of experience and keep stake holders and the community safe. Medical history was put in-front of them but they chose repeatedly to ignore it. Will not acknowledge contact by family members. Some of the so called psychiatric professionals need to move on. They have no idea of the heartache and damage they cause at all levels. No ethics and they hide be-hide legal loopholes. Totally disinterested in the position they are paid to do.

This place is a joke. I've been diagnosed with mental health problems from a young age. I wouldn't of come to this place but was sent via doctors etc. I've had childhood trauma issues etc etc. And opened up about things supposedly to help heal. In all honesty these people don't give a,,,,. I just wanted help to heal and progress my life with these supposed specialist in mental health it's like they want to provoke rather than help.

Disgusting way to treat people. One star is not even enough to say about my disgust for this hole. No help given to people who actually need it. Phoned regarding an appointment however the rude receptionist deemed it acceptable to hang up on my after being rude on the phone not even bothering to find out the nature of my call which resulted in an extremely unhappy, depressed young girl making the situation even worse than it already was. I cannot stress enough to stay away from this place at all costs! No decent help given and nobody knows what they are doing. They only know how to be rude and thick!

People that worked in health and social care ruined my life and members of my families lives, split our family up and hid each other up. A suppressive and oppressive regime. They deserve less than a 1 star rating.
These services make out they are the heroes after wrecking our lives and then want blood money at the end of it.

EDIT: it’s almost 2024 and they’re worse than ever. You all have blood on your hands, of the suicide victims gone and those who will die in future because you fail to accept their referrals . YOU Know who you are
