I rang yesterday and was denied an on the day appointment and was given one for next Wednesday, I went to a pharmacist in Tesco Salford who said I needed to see the GP. I called again today and explained over the phone what the pharmacist had said and thankfully they got me in, I need to thank Dr Jude today. What an amazing doctor he is, he was patient, kind, warm, friendly, empathetic, thorough, listened, understood, caring and the list goes on. He is the best doctor I’ve seen in years. Thank you so much and please St Andrews keep this one he is amazing.

Hello. I am very sorry that getting to see a doctor borders on a miracle. I suffer from many diseases and despite explaining to the reception that I need to contact a doctor for further treatment, the reception knows better. English is not my first language but I understand very well that these ladies do not listen at all. It is humiliating for me to explain to a person without qualifications why I need to see a doctor, even if the doctor has determined the course of treatment, the lady at the reception knows better. Doctors are good specialists but the reception is an impossible path. The last situation is that I get a text message that my visit has been canceled, I have to call for a new date, I want a visit with any doctor, I get answers that I do not need a visit, that the reception will call somewhere, write me something back (of course nothing happens) ..... I have the impression that I am treated like an idiot, I ask for the possibility of seeing a doctor and not listening to ladies who are supposed to register and not treat. Best regards.

I received an sms for my mother to proceed a purple hca appointment. I follow the procedure to book the appointment.

When we arrived the center, reception told me that my mother needed an interpreter and needed to rearrange the appointment 2 weeks later.

The reception reminded that for any appointment for my mother, I need to book via call to the center instead of booking online.

It's fine, but why don't let us know in the sms from the beginning? I always book my parents' appointment online but don't have any problems before.
It is so frustrating when I book my holiday off and take my mother to the clinic and have been informed for another procedure.

My feedback:
1. If the sms could provide more information if special arrangement is required?
2. If there are any staff could review the bookings and call back if there are any problem?

* I respect those nurses and staff who provide medical service to the public, and I hope my case / feedback could help to improve the quality of service in the future.

Brilliant. The receptionist on the phone, possibly Charlotte was really helpful and really helped me find the right pathway and who to see for my mental health issues etc. May I say Dr Jude/Dr Sutherland and Dr Rittin are all incredible GP’s and a credit to the NHS.

Good DRs but let down badly by terrible reception staff. They don’t listen, always say that there are no appointments & give wrong information..I don’t want to discuss my issue that happened a week previously to me going to the surgery but I was told by receptionist to go to A&E . A&E we’re not happy about this & I was told that my GP should have requested what I needed, but if receptionist won’t listen how are GPs expected to do this. The incident that happened started to cause pain & for a receptionist to say “no pain no gain “ is not professional.

if i could give 0 stars i would. they left me without medications for weeks only to tell me they can’t give me them anyway. they didn’t bother to check for illnesses either and labelled everything as “anxiety”. turns out i have a heart condition. useless, every last one of them. DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THEM.

First of all, I have only been attending this GP in recent years following my move into the local area and one key thing I have noticed is that there has been absolutely no attempt to retrieve my medical records from my previous GP.

Moreover, it is absolutely ridiculous that you have to divulge incredibly personal information to a receptionist as an *attempt* to get an appointment, which on the same day is highly unlikely.

I have never experienced such a poor system, where receptionists are entitled to ask for such sensitive information and with a lack of medical training, then determine if they personally think your condition warrants seeing a GP that same day. No one should feel so embarrassed walking into their GP practice, knowing that the receptionists are aware of the extremely personal details of your visit nor should patients have to listen whilst people requesting appointments at the desk are forced to divulge such details in front of the entire waiting area.

Patients should not be vetted as a mere attempt at receiving an appointment on the same day regardless of whether it’s over the phone or in person.

I have an undiagnosed condition whereby the intermittent flare ups cause severe pain, but as I haven’t been for this condition in only a couple of months (due to the sporadic nature of the pain) I am “non-emergent” and not entitled to a same day appointment. This means I get to suffer with the same pain for over another week.

The only reason I go here is due to the convenience of how close it is. Astoundingly appalling service.
