I recently had my left knee replacement at the spire hospital harpenden.
I would like to thank Mr H.V. Parmar and his team for their care and kindness during my stay at the hospital. The nurses, canteen staff and porters were all very kind to me and the physio visits I attended after the operation were very helpful.
I consider myself lucky as an NHS patient to have had my operation at this hospital.

I had a really lovely experience at Spire Harpenden Hospital on 14th January.
From the moment I arrived everything went perfectly, from the porter’s to the nursing staff.
The operation went extremely well and Mr Parmar is an excellent surgeon.
I can’t praise the hospital highly enough.

I have been going to Harpenden Hospital for years now. Last week I went for an outpatient appointment and today I have received a £100 parking fine for not registering my car!! Unbelievable. So now I have to pay £100 on top of the consultation fee. When I went to check in for my appointment at the time I was handed an iPad to check in for seeing the consultant. There was no other communication from staff! Not at any point was I told by any staff about registering my car!! That is totally irresponsible of Harpenden Hospital to do this to patients. Unacceptable. I did not see any signs in the car park as I have been coming to this hospital for years and expected it was the same as before! It is YOUR responsibility to inform patients.

I would like to say thank you to all the Specialist Chemo Cancer nurses on Heartwood wars who have been looking after me through my treatment. I have just had 4 x EC Chemo so half way through and have just started Paclitaxel. Thank you to Holly, Becca and Roma especially where I have been down, the care by everyone is outstanding, sorry if I've missed anyone. What I would like to do is give a big shout out to my pharmacist Kamwaljit, she has been excellent. She listened when the Ec Chemo and steroids gave me a severe drop on my first round and tweaked the Chemo for the 2nd round with the Steroids, to give me a better experience, if you can have one on this poison. As much as the nurses are brilliant 👏 so is the Pharmicist looking after me..... thank you so much Kamwaljit for listening and taking time out for me too. Lisa Cowan.

Staff managing the phone and dealing with customer queries were rude and unprofessional. I was only calling to move a simple appointment and firstly was meant with a rude abrupt person , her first response to me was ‘so what’? After being transferred, the second person that greeted me on the phone answered ‘was that for an MRI’ and thought I was another customer . No regard whatsoever to patient care or simple customer engagement skills! Very poor and disappointing.

I just went this morning to see doctor Abbas. He was absolutely amazing, he made it very clear on what the issue was and was extremely helpful with everything. Thank you again doctor Abbas.

The form in the reception is way too much to need to fill in. Whose idea was that? Way too much to explain. Life can be easier than that

The five star is for doctors Abbas not you lot

Great experience at the hospital, but quite difficult to book the appointment.
From the receptionists and the porters, to the nurses, until the doctor it was my best experience in the hospital, despite the quite difficult, for the patience, procedure (gastroscopy). Everyone was extremely kind, supportive, polite and professional.
The only issue I got was when I was trying to book the appointment and I was bounced among several numbers without any luck. I managed to get it, only looking up the doctor and his pa and booking directly from them.
