This was my first visit to any specsavers. All the staff were amazing. I wish I could remember the name of the young man who helped me choose my glasses, he was spot on with suggestions of the frames that would suit me. The whole experience from start to finish was amazing

After having an eye test and my prescription only changing slightly. I decided to buy a pair of glasses with thinned down lenses, reactions and also polarised. And a pair of sunglasses too.
I was dealt with a lovely professional lady in the shop called Emma. She soon helped me pick what I was looking for. And I was absolutely made up with my purchases even though the bill came to £680 including the eye test which was £35.
On receiving my glasses after taking them home I soon became aware that my main glasses were bent, and both glasses needed adjusting. So I went back to the shop and was greeted by a very young lady.I told her the problem, and she turned round with my glasses and started what I thought was adjusting them, she was quite a while, then I heard a snap!! She had broke my frame, another woman came up, and picked another pair off the display. She was really finding it difficult getting the lenses back and seemed to be trying to force them back in, and then decided to to take them upstairs to the technician.
When I was given them back they seemed to be better. She also adjusted my sunglasses totally wrong then bent them back leaving a kink in the frame.
After leaving the shop, and getting home I felt like I had been robbed. I had a good look at both pairs with my other glasses on. And my main pair, the arm on the frame had been strained at the hinge and twisted. And also there were scratches on the lenses. I was horrified and couldn’t believe what had occurred. I took both back to the shop and told the manager what had happened. And asked for a refund. The manager looked like a rabbit in headlights, offered me no apology and then said because I had paid in cash I would after wait until they sold other glasses for cash until I could get my money back!!
I went away yet again in disbelief.
I later rang back and spoke to a lady called Dion, who really did apologise for my experience and how I’d been treated. And ended up giving me a refund through my bank. I still can’t believe what’s happened and will never return to this shop again!!

Some lovely staff, guy who did the the first test was lovely , The lady who did the sight tests was fantastic , and Emily who did the glasses was lovely. Unfortunately the blonde lady was unprofessional from minute I walked in and shouldn’t be at front desk if she cannot put her opinions to one side.

I recently visited Specsavers in Goole after I discovered a problem with my eye.The staff were very very busy when I attended the store but still went through everything very thoroughly and the optician was able to spot what I was talking about and did a emergency referal to Scunthorpe hospital.I was seen the same day at Scunthorpe and the next day in Sheffield and by the end of the day I’d had an operation to save my sight.
If I hadn’t gone when I did and if the optician hadn’t spotted the problem I would have lost my sight in my right eye.
