South Street Surgery

Nurse Emma Haywood gave us our flu jabs at South Street Surgery. 5 star review for this lady’s customer service. She was approachable, kind and friendly and very efficient. Just the sort of nurse that you would wish to see and feel comfortable with.

At 20 weeks pregnant with severe pains in back (emergency in my view, especially as I never call the doctors!) the best I could be offered by reception was an in person appointment in 3weeks time. The lady was polite enough on the phone however was not helpful in the slightest- I am told to book an e-consult appointment instead if the appointment in 3weeks time isn’t good enough. Really disappointing experience and still in agony

Had a face- to face appointment with a practice nurse for a health review. She was very efficient and took as long as was needed to cover all issues. Excellent service.

My experience recently with South Street/Bishop's Park has been excellent. Following an econsult I was 'phoned and offered a same day appointment, the GP was helpful and informative. I had an xray that afternoon and a text message with the result by the end of the week. I find the text message system very efficient. For another problem I 'phoned with a query for a particular GP., he sent a text message with the answer. We don't always need a face to face appointment, these simple alternatives can work well. Thank you.

I visited new branch at Herts and Essex Hospital, staff was very friendly , well organised ,everything is new and clean , digital, doctor was very helpful. Thank you guys and keep up your hard work.

The actual surgery is good and all the nurses and GPs are very helpful and informative. The biggest issue is the phone system, waiting over an hour to speak to someone to book a routine appointment really isn’t ideal and is where all the low rated reviews stem from.

So far I’ve had really positive experiences with this Surgery. Recently I asked for a call back and the receptionist was great and super re-assuring. I managed to get a call back within the hour, would definitely recommend this surgery to others.

How is it possible that you have me waiting for (currently and still waiting) one hour and 48 minutes and I’m still in a queue above 30 people. I don’t believe you have a a high volume of calls as your online service is also being used. What an absolutely rubbish surgery you are! Whilst other surgeries have been taking calls for a while now, you e only just started doing so. Shame on you! You are failing your patients.
