My wife was there today and urgently needed medication. After asking for the prescription so that the medication could be picked up from the pharmacy next door, the nurse then told my wife to go and wait in the pharmacy next door. After half an hour my wife was still waiting so asked in the surgery what the delay. Turned out the nurse had sent the prescription to pharmacy2u and that she now has to wait four days. When asking if this could be updated to the local pharmacy it was simply a case of computer says no. How useless!

Very unhappy wife in a lot of pain.

receptionist so rude and cocky on phone. i’ve got big swelling on my neck and won’t book me in for emergency. told her i was on hold nearly an hour and was told me that’s not possible as it’s not been busy? very upset and still in a lot of pain. being a nurse, i can’t just wait in urgent treatment for 4 hours to be seen☹️

Absolutely appalled rang for an appointment as I have endometriosis been trying to conceive and not had any luck. Just wanted to ring for an appointment with the doctor. She booked my appointment perfectly fine then said Thank you, bye I didn’t end the phone as I was writing the appointment in my calendar and then one of the receptionist proceeded to say to the other receptionist At her age trying to convince basically looking down on me I’m actually discussed with the behaviour could tell she was older then me would think she would have more respect and responsibility then to talk about others all I wanted to do was to see if I could have them and I’m getting looked down on I’m actually Appalled with this behaviour

Calling to book appointments is near impossible me here & some receptionists aren’t helpful at all. the Drs seem to do more private work these days than attend their own NHS practices. If I could choose zero star I would. The practice isn’t run or managed very well at all. Disappointing all round

An exceptional GP practice in every way.

I see lots of comments about access and waiting times, but the practice has online and app integration so you're not sitting in a queue and I'm never waiting longer than two weeks for an appointment. The app integration also includes repeat prescription ordering too, so you're not having to go to the practice to order.

On top of this, they have 15-minute appointments so you're getting 50% more time with your GP than every other practice locally.

Cannot speak highly enough about the practice, reception staff and Doctors.

Partner was told to come down for medication today 18th July
, cannot pick up due to training at all sites in one day, has any body got one brain cell to close separately for the training leaving people to run surgery’s on a skeleton shift.

For a small surgery the “appointment” system has been shocking since Covid, I rung recently wanting to see someone, was told to give info of what’s wrong, then someone would call me back, and the earliest call back was 10 days away. After that they will then book you in to go down. Could be 3/4 weeks before even being seen. Also rung about my little girl (5yr old) was told to go to a hospital if I thought it was urgent. Absolute disgrace. There lazy. Again this has been since Covid. You should’ve able to phone up and get an appointment that day.

NEW UPDATE. A COUPLE OF MONTHS AFTER WRITING THE ABOVE.

They get worse. Only gave my 5 year old daughter the wrong medicine for a UTI. At least they phoned to tell us. Shambles of a surgery. Can’t get appointments, receptionist now diagnoses u on wether your worthy for an appointment because they’re clearly qualified. I phoned over a month ago with a severe sort throat, knew it was tonsillitis and told them what I needed “we can’t give you an appointment for a sore throat” within 36 hours of that phone call I was at York A&E struggling to Breath where I then spent 5 nights in hospital due to a severe reaction to tonsillitis, my throat was lined with abscesses. Taking up a bed when if given what was needed from them wouldn’t of happened. There honestly a disgrace.
