Dr Iso is a credit to the surgery. In 2 appointments with him I felt like he actually cared and really took the time to listen and follow up. Really made a difficult time easier by showing genuine empathy.

I booked an appointment for my little girl, collected her from school, we came 10 minutes earlier. Registered on the computer as always only this time the name of the doctor was showed very briefly, I didn't have time to read it but I didn't think it was a problem. Sat in the waiting area but when nobody called us, when to see a receptionist. Appearantly the "system" didn't register us ( how did i need to know that?) and it was ticked as no show.... we were offered another appointment but much later or later in another Village. I still can't understand why the system is more important than the child's health. The surgery didn't look overcrowded or very busy. Why nobody could see her there and then, we didn't come late and it wasn't our fault that their system was faulty. But it feels that computer systems know everything and they are the priority over a child's health... The surgery moved from person centre approach further and further away.
I guess the doctor could still call yhe patient's name for the appointment even if the system didn't show she was there. I don't think that would have taken a lot of doctor's time. It is not a huge surgery and, as we can see it, computer systems can go down. Waste of everybodies time and very inhuman.

After moving to the area from bigger city, where you can't get an appointment for 4+ weeks, you soon understand the level of care and compassion given by the Dr's and Nurses at this practise is exceptional.
Namely, Dr. Whittaker & Dr. Rowland have proved to be the perfect epitome of a Doctor. Relatable, caring, knowledgeable, understanding and kind.
I've only encountered one "snotty" receptionist and one rather rude "advanced practitioner", every other member of staff throughout the South Axholme surgeries have been lovely and do their best to help whenever they can.
I always speak highly of my GP surgery to friends when they mention their lack of care back in our hometown.

I've lowered the rating I gave as I have had a negative experience, the doctor I have been assigned hasn't seen me in person for about 5 years. The female doctors and a couple of staff supporting them, Dr wragg and others are exceptional however my assigned GP is making decisions that affect my life without any specialization in my disability. I have other causes of complaints as well as the lack of long term follow up care.

Because I hadn’t changed my address after moving home two years ago I had concerns my referral would go to the wrong address. The receptionist was extremely helpful in putting me directly in contact with the other surgery. Sounded professional and friendly. Problem solved.

This has been my surgery for over thirty years and have needed them for many different reasons. Never once have they let me down. I have spoken to the secretaries, dispensary, reception , nurses and doctors..ALL have been great. I wouldn't normally write a review but noticed other less complimentary reviews as I was looking for the surgery phone number on the internet. I think the majority of us don't shout about something when it's good, only when it's bad...well this practice is wonderful and have thought so for many years, so that's my shout out for something that's very very good .

I have just had my first Covid jab, just a couple of days after it became allowed for my age group. I was totally amazed at the organisation from the practice, from car parking Marshall’s outside the surgery, to the patient flow into the clinic, the speed and care of treatment, and onto the out flow into a waiting area before release. It would be difficult if not impossible to better the service which I received. A massive thank you to John Gallagher and the team for world class service given in such a small community. 5* rating just doesn’t seem enough for the effort, and the planning that has obviously gone into providing for their community care. Well done team and thank you so much.
