Excellent doctors at this surgery but let down by reception and the fact it’s so difficult to get the phone answered and when you finally get through, no appointments are available so have to start the process all over again the next day. It’s painful and inefficient. Making everything online is ostracising the elderly and as such, my parents have moved to Hope House.

I have been with this practice for years & most doctors we've dealt with have been excellent. However my husband who is long term sick with ME & Fibro saw a young women doctor having been told he couldn't make a appointment to see his own long term doctor as she'd be unavailable for sometime doing other things (Great for patient confidence) The young Doctor he saw ( Dr Thomson or Thomas) was incredibly unsympathetic, very patronising & knew little about his condition suggesting arcaic solutions like pacing & talking theories..she went on to abruptly tell him he'd had his time and he needed to leave. I mean wow wonderful bed side manner.These young Doctors need to be taught the importance of empathy & taking the time to learn that with each long term illness once size doesn't fit all, if only pacing and talking would stop tears of pain and misery, goodness if only that easy. Needless to say he'll be making another appointment to see his own more experienced doctor if ever she's available again

I have moved into the area and joined the surgery a few months ago. Reception staff have been excellent, the doctors and nursing staff who have seen me have been kind, caring and knowledgable. Thanks to all the team, keep up the good work, its been a hard few years for all GP practices and joining you mid 2021 I have felt well informed of staffing issues and updates relating to covid procedures. Registration was simple and quick and it’s been a great relocation.

45 minutes to get through the telephone system, only to be hung up on when it was my turn. How does a GP surgery turn into a terrible call centre ? Then drove down to get an appointment and was told 4 weeks ! I think it’s safe to say the NHS is broken !

I want to say thank you to Dr Evans for being amazing and doing everything she could for me and my psoriasis. I’m so grateful and to the lady as well who I spoke to in the pharmacy department. You don’t understand what your help and care means to me. Thank you

Very good surgery and all the doctors I have met have been extremely helpful. I definitely recommend this doctors. I would of given 5 stars, the only reason I didn’t was because I’ve not been able to book my appointments through the 24 hour telephone service recently. It always rings out or cuts off. I have however always been able to get an appointment over the phone when I speak to the receptionist.
