Being Monton based it's so convenient to use Smiths Opticians, but more than that, the customer service exuded by all the staff that work there is excellent. I recently booked to get my children's eyes tested for the first time and the Optician was absolutely brilliant with them as they were both a bit nervous. When it came to one of my kids needing glasses, the Optician was very reassuring and gave lots of advice on minimising the impact of worsening eyesight. There were lots of stylish and affordable designs for my son to choose and they were ordered, delivered and fitted within a few days. It's great that we are able to drop in after school for check ups and follow ups with the branch within walking distance! Thank you all at Smiths Opticians!

I have attended smiths opticians since 1987 but can honestly say that since recent modernisation the service has been even better. The team went to a lot of trouble to source a particular contact lens for me. They kept me informed of their progress throughout. They are friendly, highly professional and extremely thorough when undertaking eye test. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Really friendly staff who genuinely care about their customers. Both Joanne and Jayne, along with the optician were happy to chat and answer any questions. The premises have had a recent upgrade and are as good as any of the big high street opticians. I would recommend to anyone to keep it local and visit your friendly high street optician!

Very friendly staff and great service. I took a pair of glasses in that had accidentally been bent, not from Smiths and Joanne was more than happy to help me fix them. I'll be returning again for my next eye test.

Im not going to be going back ive been a patient at smiths opticians for years, I went for my second appointment after the business got taken over and feel completely scammed. In the past couple of weeks I've spent nearly £700 yes seven hundred pounds with smiths opticians. Between eye tests, contact lense appointments and a new pair of glasses that are scratched and marked with badly fitted lenses. I'm completely disappointed. Ive had enough of trying to deal with the new staff here, they try but fail to provide the level of quality product that the price suggests. The new shop fit out is absolutely terrible, it feels cold and uninviting, and unfinished. Mrs Smith would never have allowed this to happen.
