I saw a doctor as an emergency appointment today. I made a request online, was called at 9.05am by a very kind receptionist and the called within a couple of hours by a doctor who offered me a face to face appointment. The doctor was fantastic, respectful and listened as well as helping me physically to walk. I was dreading calling today, but feel like I had the best of service - thank you!

After more than a week trying to arrange a resupply of pain killers that have to be OKd by a doctor, and getting nowhere, I went into Reception, where a very nice, helpfull lady sorted the problem in a couple of minutes and with a smile for a grumpy old git.
Whereas the system said sometime, not known, in the future I could get a phone call or sicknote ( perhaps?). It did not say how long I would have to stay in waiting for a call.
In short it is not the overworked staff that are the problem but the system!

We are new to the practice but so far so good. They quickly got all my prescriptions organised and I found it easy to book an appointment with my new doc who, incidentally, is lovely!

This is the worst practice I have ever encountered! Considering it is a practice in the middle of a small Lincolnshire town, they are totally incompetent compared to the overly busy surgery I was registered with in Manchester, who catered for people in a much wider catchment area! They were en pointe! Then I moved to Lincolnshire and registered here… They are absolutely diabolical!

You never get to see a doctor - it is always a paramedic practitioner or a nurse, no matter how acute your symptoms become. As a patient who last summer had rectal bleeding and before that a rash spread all over my neck (started in September 23) I still haven’t received a referral to another gastroenterologist after asking for a change of consultant last September (2024) (previous one was very rude, so he was never going to perform a colonoscopy on me!) My rash is much much worse having now spread up my face and eyes. It burns and itches - and all the remedies they ask me to try don’t work. I was asked (ASKED) what allergy tests I wanted to find out that could be causing the rash?! No offer of referral to a dermatologist, nor ENT for the chronic post nasal drip (that could even be linked to stomach issues as it is chronic but it’s ok - steroid sprays and saline washes do the trick! No! They don’t for me!) One of the nurses I had an appointment for to carry out bloods for allergies went in to see a doctor in the other room, who passed the message to me that my rash could be chrohns related so it is important to have my colonoscopy done. Nothing is being monitored or followed up… so not that important after all! I am fed of feeling like some relentless whinging patient on ask my gp! I shouldn’t be made to feel this way, nor my symptoms unnecessarily dragged out for so long! I was too poorly to attend my last appointment - to which I received a phone call from a nurse telling me it was a telephone appointment anyway (just as well I didn’t attend as I wasn’t told it was a telephone appointment!) and that I need to be physically seen! Well … yes… but not by a nurse or paramedic practitioner at this stage…

Complaint logged already! (On ask my gp. Probably will take days until it is picked up… or ignored) I’m out of there! Absolutely disgusting service! Complete medical negligence! This is not acceptable!

Took my partner for a scan. Very efficient service. She was seen within a couple of minutes scanned and out again in 5 minutes. Ample car parking spaces.

I had to attend as a minor emergency. I only waited just over an hour to be seen and all the staff were very helpful. Not like A&E departments at the acute trusts. I'd always look for alternatives like this whenever possible!

First class service from all at this practice. Particularly Cathy in the office who was making enquiries on my behalf to Lincoln Hospital and had managed to get me an answer within an hour and called me back to ensure I was updated. Many thanks.

In the unfortunate circumstance that you have to use this place, you are more than likely going to need to see doctor for stress over the actual problem that you are presenting. You will be told to ring at 8 in the morning. Between the phones which IF you get through and don't get cut off for being in a queue or cut off due to no more appointments today already at 08:01, they advise you to use ask my gp which is 8 times out of 10 out of service, if not its due to running out of time. IF you have the opportunity to see the doctors and nurses then you will get good service but treatment for 2 minutes compared to attempted hours to see them is disgusting, so be prepared to graft to get an appointment.

The doctors and nurses themselves are incredible and work under a lot of pressure to see all the patients they can but the system fails all of us completely.
