I've been a patient for years. I've only felt care deteriorated once, which was during COVID and a difficult time. Yesterday I got an urgent appt for my daughter + antibiotics without any delays or fuss. A few weeks ago a swift HRT prescription, again without any delays. My Doctor is Dr Chan who is consistently fantastic. All other Doctors I have dealt with including Dr Boxall have always been great. The surgery (Dr Mennie if I recall) has stopped me from almost certainly getting sepsis in the past with their swift intervention. Never had an issue with reception who are always friendly and efficient. Just felt like adding this review for some balance! Thank you Sixways.

Just to say how much I've appreciated the friendly and patient receptionists at Six Ways clinic 🙏. Medical receptionists often get a bad rap. It can't be easy being sandwiched between doctors with their foibles and patients with their issues. We all know the NHS is struggling. We all know the pressure the system is under. So hats off to you guys, especially to Julie today, who wasn't even meant to be in work this Monday due to staff shortages.. 👏

I seriously don't know where to start, except with how rapidly this clinic/surgery has gone downhill.
My 18 month old boy was born with a serious heart condition. 2 open heart surgeries later, loads of viruses, including covid, MRSA, meningitis & both kidney & liver failure, he is still here. A proper fighter. He picks up lots of viruses & bugs & has spent months on antibiotics, but today was the last straw. I'm at wits end on what to do.

My boy has a temperature of 39.1. He's lethargic, off his food, just want cuddles & has a nasty smelly discharge from his ear.

I rang the clinic first thing & was 9th in the queue. 50 minutes later explained to receptionist my 18 months old symptoms, only to be told there was no appointments available for today & if it was urgent I was to ring 111.
Rings 111, explained symptoms & was told my boy needed to see a doctor & they would ring Sixways & get doctor to ring me.
Doctor rings me & says..... I've sent a prescription to your chosen chemist. Seriously, they have prescribed something for my boy without even seeing him.
Off to the chemist. Pharmacist has received prescription, but is NOT happy to issue medication. They said to ring doctor & explain, which I did.
I was then told by receptionist, I couldn't make an appointment & to ring the following morning, however if I felt it was urgent to ring 111
I ring 111, explained it all again. My 18 month old boy, serious heart problem, temperature of 39.1, lethargic, off food & smelly discharge from ear.
I was told, yet again he needed to be seen by a doctor & they would get in touch with Sixways & a doctor would ring me.
No phone call, but an abrupt text message saying, My boy has an appointment in the morning

What an absolute joke. I've been messed around, pushed from pillar to post

Has anyone else experienced anything like this
Is this what it's like now to get an appointment for a very poorly 18 month old

I am truly shocked & disgusted by how the system is now & can completely understand why people are going straight to A & E & putting extra pressure on hospitals

Such a shame this clinic has gone downhill

If I could would give no stars!

Poor patient care, inappropriate triaging, refusal to co-operate with paramedics, inefficient systems and adding extra pressure on emergency services.

Did not offer my 89 year old dad who was presenting with new symptoms a face to face appointment. Medication prescribed over the phone was an excessive dose, interacted with existing medication and turned him into a zombie. When Dad rang later in the week with no improvement was told to ring 999. Parents rang 111 and paramedics diagnosed a chest infection, which GP then refused to prescribe antibiotics for. Dad ended up in hospital with chest sepsis and pneumonia. Thankfully now recovered, but not due to the surgery

Having been with another doctors for years I have now been with this clinic for 2 years and I'm really shocked to see all the bad reviews, nobody on reception have ever been rude or rushed me on phone/face to face I've been seen on urgent appointments fast and am very understanding with less urgent appointments Having a waiting time. All the doctors and nurses have been lovely and helpful and even bothered to refer me to hospital after my last doctors insisting I had IBS. So happy I moved to sixways clinic

We have been with Six Ways clinic for many years and when trying to get an appointment you have to wait 5 rto 6 weeks. You have 9 doctors on your web site. What is going on. This is a disgrace.

Whenever I call this surgery with my own personal health issues, the phone is either not answered or i'm treated poorly as if my health is no bother to them. Any time i've been in contact with Kim over the phone it's been a wonderful experience, do better.

I have been waiting 10 minutes as caller number 1 this morning and when someone answered they put the phone down on me. The attitude of your staff from past experience is poor you really need to think of who you employee as you will lose a lot of patients as I am looking else where now.
