I have been looking for a glasses frame for over a month. I just couldn't find anything I really loved. I visited the store and I found my perfect pair. The lady was so helpful. She helped me by telling me frames were too big or small. I really appreciated that. I found a brand I've not seen before. The colours are amazing!! Thank you so much 💗

I am typing without my glasses for the first time in about 8 years, Silverthornes opticians is brilliant! We have been using them for about 10 years and the service is always excellent. I recently tried contact lenses for the first time (aged 50) and having been a bit squeamish about the idea - was apprehensive. The representatives at Silverthornes were all so encouraging and calm I was able to have success putting the lenses in and taking them out almost straight away. While I am still practising the staff said I can return as often as I need for any help. Can not recommend this business highly enough.. 5*

Been a Silverthorne’s patient/client for probably about 30 years. Always had excellent service, quality care and products. As an independent business in Salisbury, they get to know their clients optical history, which gives a continuity of care which you don’t get from a high street chain, where personnel are always changing. Don’t expect any cheap marketing offers - that’s not what this business is about.

My mother has been treated terribly by the team here. They have consistently messed her around with getting the right prescription...kept telling her to persist with the glasses and then eventually told her she was past the time frame that they could be returned. Also booked to have her tear ducts cleared and was sent a reminder text the day before...when she turned up after taking time off work, she was told the equipment wasn't available until February and they had forgotten to call her. Terrible service. Official complaint will be being lodged due to the ongoing stress caused.

What an appalling attitude. Lacking in sociability. Functionally and technically correct but no customer focus. Receptionist is excellent, so do not blame her. Polite complaint made to the the owners who simply said if you don't like it, go elsewhere. I did !

Do not touch them with a barge-pole. There are plenty of alternatives with good customer awareness and service. But beware of Memory Opticians up the road - there is a connection of some sort between the two businesses.
