Was seen by Dr yesterday 5:30 and blood test was required.
I asked at reception (Minster medical centre) and they advised go to true walk in at sheppy community hospital which is now closed but opens at 8 am as a sit and wait as booking will be at least 2 weeks.
I went there this morning 8am.
At 8:10 I had to pull the curtain and asked what time to you start the lady said 8:10 I said it is displayed 08:00 and I now have to tell my daughter she needs to call in late as I take my grandson to school and she will have to take him.
Now a lady came in with blood forms and they told her to book appointment - I advised her that she can sit and wait as there were only 4 people after me - which she did.
Now my issue is why are they saying there is a two week wait for appointments when the place was empty…..
Really no wonder sick people was waiting for blood test and prolonging their anxiety when they have an empty waiting room?
Talk about money wasted and people waiting for NHS appointments- well I think they need to be checking what their staff are doing in their working hours like in every other businesses
I was 6th person however, the ticket cook was not on and so it started from there - five people in-front of me were called in as they had appointments and rightly so

Absolute amazing in and out with medication less than 1 hour. My Dr's should hang their heads in shame. This is where I will go from now on .10 outa 10 for me. 👏👏👏

I can always get ab appointment all day in Faversham or Sittingbourne but on Sheppey all walk in centre appointments are finished by 12pm so don't be ill on isle of Sheppey in the afternoon

Took my grandaughter to the walk in tonight been ill had antibiotics from.gp , still wasnt right so went to the sheppy walk in ... we arrived was in to see a nurse all within 15 mins ...wonderful service

my wife went to the walk in centre at sheppey hospital today 8/10/23 as she was feeling unwell and felt she had a chest infection due to the symptoms. she was immediately seen by the on duty doctor who was very nice and she confirmed that she has a infection. my wife and i both attend this walk in centre as we find it much more convenient and a lot easier to get a appointment compared to calling our usual surgery where we always have to wait a month to be seen. the walk in centre is local to where we live and the opening hours are very good. the staff are always very friendly and helpful too.

Had my blood taken by Antonio. He was so kind and helpful after I forgot my forms! Put me at ease once I finally found them, very gentle, barely felt a scratch!
Also the receptionist at the walk in clinic was kind, helpful and informative. Got a great memory for people too, would definitely pick her to be on a pub quiz team!
