I picked this surgery based on their rating. I think it is very low, to be honest based on what I just lived. I experienced them first time today. New registered person. I had an issue on day 1 and they resolved it with a smile. The receptionist (admin assistant) was incredible. Staff had time to smile and welcome me passing by. The location and building is beautiful. I am a very happy new registered patient at Severn Surgery!

I have recently had my flu and covid jabs, and I have also had two blood tests. The service is brilliant and the staff are excellent. Thank you all for everything you do. Fantastic.

Their processes are terrible.

I just had a newborn and they booked the 6 week checkup for 9 weeks!

To add insult to injury, they also booked his 8 week vaccination for when he's 11 weeks.

I had to call up myself and manually book these appointments so God knows when they would've been if I hadn't.

My friends with babies actually get sent letters from their GP with their newborn appointments.

I really regret joining this GP.

reception staff are very helpful as far as they are allowed to, medical staff are very caring and engaging but that's where the good bits end. despite convincing the CQC that they have improved in all areas, after several attempts, their appointments system is as immposible to wade through as ever. after a number of attempts by myself, my wife and even my grandaughter over a number of weeks to get appointments, i still find that the only way to get a same day appointment is to get to the surgery by 07.30 and stand in line. to get a next day appointment is next to near impossible unless you happen to be in the surgery around 2.30pm when the next batch of appointments are "released".
even when you get a message from the surgery to make an appointment regarding abnormal results you still have more chance of knitting fog than getting an ppointment. the management system att this surgery gets a 1 star for fit for purpose.

Amanda the nurse was so lovely, really calmed me down before my blood test and kept me distracted whilst taking the blood. Thank you for not allowing me to over think! The receptionists are great as well.

Really positive experience with this surgery. Even when completely at capacity, the reception and staff were all super calm, friendly and accommodating. (Gemma on reception is absolute diamond!) This kind of energy really makes all the difference. Thanks guys ?

Just had a blood test today with Julie, such a lovely lady and very professional, always with a smile on her face and a kind word. I have found Julie and all the surgery staff very supportive when both my wife and I have been going through a very challenging time. I am so pleased we registered with Servern Surgery.

Our surgery is really good. Doctors, nurses, and the receptionists are really nice. Particularly Meena Patel. She’s so respectful and humble. She talks so politely and listens peacefully and tries to tackle our requests carefully. Julie is such a pleasant and lovely lady. I’m terrified of bloods but she’s marvellous. Karen is such a wonderful person and she always speaks with so much care. Came across Dr Ghera & Dr Malik, both amazing Doctors. I’m well happy with our surgery once again. I have been with Severn surgery for 35 years, did go down but glad to see the changes and it’s getting better. Thank you to the new management! Bless u all! ?
