We carried out work at the home recently and I have to say that the staff were amazing!! Everyone was so helpful, polite and went out of their way to help us. The home is spotless and the residents we met were are all relaxed and happy. Stacey and the team are a credit to Avery. (Special mention to admin for the most organised archive store that I’ve ever seen).

My mum was a resident at Seagrave for two years and sadly passed away at the weekend. She had cancer and the care plan was for her to remain at Seagrave House. I am so thankful we done this as the care given to her in her final days was outstanding.
From when we received a call last Thursday telling us she was very poorly until she passed away on Sunday they could not have done enough for us, we were told by Jemima the Manager that as long as we were there they would feed us, every day twice a day there was a platter of fresh sandwich’s sent to us and the most amazing homemade biscuits. They even offered to make anything we wanted nothing was too much trouble for them.
We asked if we could stay the night and they said of course and they supplied chairs, quilts, pillows and bed linen to enable us to be as comfortable as we could.
All of the carers were amazing whenever mum needed changed they would be there immediately they were gentle with her and she was always spotlessly clean and comfortable. Four carers went over and beyond their job remit as far as I am concerned but they would disagree I’m sure and say they were just doing their jobs.
Toni and Danielle were caring for her during the day Thursday and Friday, and when it looked on Friday that mum may not last the night they stayed until midnight in case she did as tthey wanted to be there for her. When they left us on Friday they told us that they had informed the other staff that if anything should happen over the weekend whilst they were off to contact them as they wanted to come and help in any way they could.
When the time did come they came in and with Claire and Molly who had been looking after mum over the weekend they dressed her and done her hair and made her look so lovely for us.
I cannot thank them and the other wonderful staff there for their wonderful care they really are heroes.

Seagrave House in my opinion is second to none. The staff are well trained, compassionate and caring. They treat residents with dignity at all times and also treat them as individuals. I am very happy with the care my mum is receiving and I am able to discuss any issues with the staff confident in the knowledge that they will quickly be taken care of. Seagrave House has become like a second home to me and our family and the staff feel like extended family. Nothing is too much trouble.

Seagrave House itself has the most up-to-date facilities, the home is beautifully decorated and looks more like a 'high end' hotel. The dining rooms are tastefully decorated and all meals are made by the skilled chefs employed at the home..I love that they interact with the residents at mealtimes and get to know them by name. The meals and snacks on offer are always delicious looking and smell wonderful and there are always different options available to tempt the residents.

The Management and staff at Seagrave House really do care about the residents and the quality of the care they receive. I feel happy and confident that my mum is getting the best care available in this area....I would recommend Seagrave House to anyone looking for residential care.

Mum has been in Seagrave House for over ten years. She is very happy there which is our highest priority.
Over the years there have been several managers, the current one, Jemima, being the best by far. Her dedication means you will not be surprised to see her there at weekends. She regularly spends time on the floor, her career path haveing been starting as a carer and working her way up through the ranks. Because of this there is nothing she would ask her staff to do that she hasn’t first hand experience at.
With Jemima at the helm staff retention is better and all staff are well trained and her dedication rubs off because they are clearly valued.
Rooms and public spaces are all well decorated and give a sense of high end facilities, but individuals can have personal effects in their rooms and this helps them settle with familiar things around them.
Food is good and Mum initially gained weight on admission having been missing meals at home.
Activities co-ordinater Sarah is excellent and as well as many ‘home grown’ activities and events, entertainers are a regular feature, this musical stimulus is highly therapeutic to service users with dementia.
I would happily recommend Seagrave House to friends and family.
