EXTREMELY IMPRESSED
On Saturdqy 21.12.24, my mother fell and hit her head. As she is on blood thinners, we couldn't stop the bleeding. I was visiting that weekend and only knew how to get to Lincoln Hospital, of which my sister advised against after previous visits and bad treatment.
She insisted I took her to Scunthorpe A&E, where she travelled and met me there.
From the very first moment, I knew this was the right decision.
On entering, it was extremely clean and welcoming. My mothers temperature was a little low, so they took her through to a bay where it was as warmer rather than leave her in the waiting room.
Whilst questions were being asked, blood was already being taken, obviously saving time. She required a CT scan also. The doctor was stitching her up as the porter came for her, so it was delayed a little while as the stitching up took longer than anticipated.
All in all, from the receptionist, nurses, porter, and doctor, we received first class treatment and were in and out within 3 hours.
I have never known a hospitals A&E to be so quick and efficient.
I was at my own doctors in Leicester a few days later, and I was singing Scunthorpe's praises. She commented that we need more hospitals to be this efficient.
Thank you all at Scunthorpe A&E. Keep up the good work. I was more than impressed!!

Took my husband after doctor telling him to go straight to A&E, the nurses were amazing, so friendly and kind, even the doctor was brilliant. Really lovely even though they were obviously busy. Reception staff looked a bit peed off, but I guess they are at the front taking most of the hassle.

God forbid you need this hospital. I took my wife to the emergency room with terrible kidney pain, pain that can lead to kidney blockage and even death at any time. I waited 4-5 hours without anyone saying anything. Even now I can't believe what happened. We had to leave to go to work because we live in rent and we can't afford to miss work. Does this country not recognize the right to health? And even the right to life? God forbid. This is inadmissible.
