Busy when we went to A&E after my friend cut her head open, falling on ice.
But we were seen pretty quickly. She was triaged, scanned, glued, and on our way in 3 hours. Even though it said the waiting time was 6 on arrival.

Appalling.
Huge amounts of staff but obviously no organ grinders/ decision makers.
Treating people like cattle & putting lives at risk. I would rather drive 2 hours to another hospital than ever put mine or my families life at risk again by going here in an emergency. Lucky to be alive after being eventually competently treated by an English speaking Dr at another hospital, 3 days after being admitted to Scarborough A&E via ambulance. A huge formal complaint incoming. I cannot believe how broken this place is & how bad the Drs are. They don't care if you live or die. Your just a number. No respect, No empathy. They do not check notes & history nor do they listen to the patient.
Needs total reform from the ground up. I. Feel sorry for the good staff that work in there who must clearly see that this place is not fit for purpose.
Animals would be treated better.

A and E department. Couldn't have asked for better treatment. Waiting times were long but was kept informed of everything.
Well done to all nursing staff and Dr's.

On behalf of my husband, Terry White, and family, I would like to express my thanks and gratitude to Scarborough hospital and ambulance staff.
During Terry's seven day stay in Chestnut Ward he received first class care and his treatment was delivered with kindness and compassion in spite of the constant pressures on the staff.

I unfortunately just spent 26 hours in Scarborough A&E and although it was a long time, the overall service I got was great. After I had been informed I had fractured a virtibrae in my neck, and given a bed in the emergency department, the care I received was excellent. All the staff were lovely, friendly, caring and nothing was too much trouble. I want to thank Ann-Marie (Ree) the health care assistant for looking after me, she was lovely and funny. Under the present climate with the NHS struggling I can't praise it enough. The only reason I haven't given 5 stars was because of the time I had to spend in there. If I was rating just the staff it would be 5 star

Turned up for an appointment at the cardio respiratory clinic, I went to completely the wrong part of the hospital and couldn't be further away from were I needed to be.
I am 61 and not very mobile, a member of staff saw I looked a bit distressed and asked if she could help, she said she would try and get a porter to take me to the right place, she then said "Hold on ile take you myself". She put me in a wheelchair and took me to were i was supposed to be (it was a long way)
I genuinely could not thank her enough, the lady went above and beyond to help me.
One again, Thank you.

Was admitted after having a Epileptic seizure on a Saturday eve back in mid sept wearing dark framed glasses and other items of sentimental jewellery to myself. ( ie a neck chain formally my father's ) whilst in the co of nurses I had a ct scan or something similar. But I knew next day that those items where missing ! When asked for them was drawn a blank and escorted out as if I was well!!! Despite my pleas of unwell ? I've had to pay out to get new glasses made again however 2 weeks ago as of now 6/10 /24 back to hospital again same situation sadly and another pair of glasses gone!! Call this care i certainly don't. And by way treated not acceptable as when asked for my prescription medication also was refused to me! ?

Been in Maple Ward a couple of times this year almost everyone who is working in the hospital is so friendly, supportive and helpful. It's such a shame one or two people can leave you with a bad impression and now I have a huge anxiety about going back to Maple ward to be treated by these two nurses who called ( Jade Wulaimot / African with hijab on) and Abigail Kennedy blond hair)
Who were disrespectfully shouting and yelling during my hospital treatment they have had no manners whatsoever and they do need more training courses to be well-educated about how to communicate with people especially patients who are in pain.
They have spoken about me behind my back outside the Corridor and kept saying my bed number with other staff members they neglected me and skipped me for regular blood pressure and temperature checks and they did not help me to give a hand to go to the toilet or help with physical movement. I would like to thank all those staff who have kindly advised me to make a complaint about them two and who have helped me very kindly to forget the situation.
