Poor service. This Pharmacy has gone down hill rapidly. Went into pick my prescription up. To be told it had already been picked up and gone out. Told the very unhelpful staff member, I don't think so. Then said they would ring me when they find out what's happened. Said I'd wait. Low and behold they found it in a drawer. Not the first time this lot have got it wrong. Gave me somebody else's prescription once.
Staff very rude. Some don't even come down to the counter to acknowledge you. Just shout down from the work prep area. Changing Pharmacy.

Shaw's pharmacy have been absolute heroes this week. I required medication without which irreversible damage to my eyes could occur. There is a national shortage and I have been trying for over a week in all my local pharmacies, but every single one said out of stock/don't know when it will be back.
As a final try before calling the hospital consultants, I gave Shaw's a ring who are near my work.
FANTASTIC! They have been friendly, supportive and helpful...and the best bit...they managed to track down and order my full prescription in 24 hours.
It is no exaggeration to say, lifesavers!

The team, no matter whether it’s the pharmacist or assistants or dispensers are always really helpful and kind to me. I’ve had a few times where due to gps not sending scripts across I’ve been left without medication and when I take an in person script or drs send it they fulfil it for me straight away and I never feel judged. Really helpful when it’s an especially stressful situation.

Time after time they do not carry stock of many drugs .only get half of your prescription. Staff not very helpful and have to wait often.
Every time I go I queue with pelle huffing and puffing about how long it’s taken to get all meds.times of having to go back and the waiting time. I have used this pharmacy most of my life but I and many people in the village are going to change pharmacy.what is going on since it changed to different owners!!!!

Just like to say that all the staff at Shaws pharmacy are amazing. They are friendly, polite and very helpful. I would like to specifically mention one particular member of staff, Carolyn, who always goes above and beyond. She is a credit to the branch.

Due to safeguarding issues. I can only order. 7 day meds. Rather than month.
Script came to chemist. Contacted to be informed controlled drugs not in stock.
Staff member sent to spine. But again difficult to get,as not in stock .
1 not first time ordered
So had to split 1 day over 4 days. Henceforth went 2 days no controlled drugs.
Had little or no sleep.

A lot has changed since my last review i have been using this Pharmacy over 12 years yes 4 years ago i was disappointed with the customer service i received however i have no complaints regarding the staff there attentive helpful and polite and always acknowledge you .
The lady pharmacist was wonderful when i was experiencing problems with my medication she talked me through what i needed to do to sort things out.
The only thing that is negative is they no longer open saturdays and when your working 54 hours a week and struggle to get in to collect your medication that saturday morning counts especially when there's a bank holiday also involved because if you run out a long weekend feels very long without the medication you need
