Had a exceptional service today took my fur baby for an operation and after being book into the wrong practice the staff on reception we so compassionate, They could see I was stressed and there was definitely some confusion they managed to get things arranged and crisis was averted.

We can’t thank the team at Rutland Priors hall enough for the exceptional care, compassion, and support they provided during one of the most heartbreaking times for our family. Having to say goodbye to our beloved puppy for very sensitive reasons… was an incredibly emotional experience, but every member of staff treated us — and our pup — with such kindness, dignity, and understanding.

Their gentle approach and genuine empathy helped us feel supported throughout the process. The hand-written card they sent afterwards was such a thoughtful and personal gesture that meant more than words can say.

We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone needing not just professional veterinary care, but true compassion. When the time comes to welcome a new puppy into our lives, we’ll definitely be returning to them.

The staff are extremely friendly who met us with a really warm welcome.
The Vet was just as friendly, had plenty of time for us, so didn't feel we were rushed out if the door, and very thorough. This was our very first visit. A big thanks to everyone at Rutland Vets

Greedy Veterinary Centre, only in it for the money. On 06.12.24 I purchased intestinal care 6 in 1 paste as my dog had an upset stomach and I was without my car so couldn't get round to pets at home. As my dog is registered with Rutland vets and it's located on my doorstep I called them and Sarah the receptionist advised they have an over the counter paste I can buy. I was sold a 30ml tube for £17.43 and after 1 dose of 3ml the syringe broke and I was unable to administer anymore after this as the paste was getting stuck in the tube and not coming out. I went back to the vets after work on Friday and told Sarah the problems I was having with it, she had a look at it and reset the syringe to the next dose and told me if I have anymore problems to come back on Monday. It still did not work so I had to go to pets at home on Saturday morning to buy Prokolin as the product from the vets was faulty. Today I went to the vets to explain what happened and asked if I could have a replacement and I was refused. They tried to charge me full price for another tube. Not exactly my fault the syringe broke and they sell faulty products. I was offered a smaller tube for cheaper, not sure why I wasn't offered this size in the first place as that's all I needed really, but I was just sold the most expensive they had instead of being asked what size I wanted. I explained that my dog has had x1 3ml dose out of a 30ml tube and the syringe is now set to 20ml as I have been trying to use it but it wouldn't work, so 17ml what I have paid for is stuck in the tube but won't come out. I have paid for a 30ml tube but only getting a total of 13ml out of it. The receptionists comment was you won't be able to have another one free of charge, you'll have to pay full price for another one and it should only be used for 3 days anyway so I did not need another tube, this is not the point, I have paid for a full size product and haven't received the full amount what I have paid for as the product is faulty. On the box it actually says it can be used for 7 days, so the receptionist does not seem very knowledgeable. I cannot believe they were quibbling over £17.43 after all the money they take, I wasn't even asking for a refund, just a replacement, couldn't even give me the 15ml size. Never again would I buy anything from there. I have not long taken my dog there for a 5 minute consultation and some prescription meds for another problem which cost £105.43, so I do use this practice when needed. I also have the monthly pet plan of £16.50 per month which I will now be cancelling and taking my custom elsewhere. Shame really as having a vets on my doorstep was very handy but will not tolerate the terrible level of customer service.

Our dog was very nervous of our old vets,the prices for treatment etc seemed extortionate. We changed to Rutland on a recommendation and he loves it there. He's had an operation there recently and the charges were reasonable. He's been back for a few checkups and still likes going. They are very professional and caring and we're very happy with the service 😀.
