It gives me no pleasure in writing this review, however I feel it is necessary to bring this incident to the attention of patients and surgery staff alike .
I won't go into the circumstances which culminated in this incident as they will only serve to distract from the incident itself.
about 5pm last Friday its November, I went to the surgery to collect a prescription, While there I was talking to Mrs.Mckenzie and asked to she would ask Dr Mckenzie , to prescribe antibiotics which had been suggested by Dr Macleod earlier in the week.
To my astonishment Dr Mckenzie came storming along the corridor stood directly in-font of me and began to shout abusively at me that not everything can be cured by antibiotics .
I was sitting in the waiting room with Mrs Kackenzie standing next to me. Dr Mackenzie then informed me that I should not even be in the surgery.
I was cramped up at the time ,Dr. Mackenzie continue to shout this time ridiculing me for the was I was sitting. This I hurtful and insulting as I was in a lot of pain.
I continually asked him of he would calm down, his response was to storm off.
Mrs McKenzie said her husband was stressed! I asked her if she would ask him to return and apilogise ? he did not.
On Tuesday 5th November I returned to the surgery to collect antibiotics prescribed my Dr McLoud . While at the surgery I asked for a meeting with Dr. Mckenzie to "clear the air" this to-date has not accrued.
This is the third time I have witnessed Dr.Mckenzie behaving in the manner .
How can anyone in this mental state continue to pratice medicine in a reasoned and dispationate way

I have to say the service my husband and I have been receiving over this year, particularly over the last 6 months has been exceptional. All staff - reception, nurses, doctors and pharmacy have been excellent. Helpful, kind and considerate. Thank you all! 🙂
I feel very confident with the quality of service the surgery are supplying.

Have been, on the whole, happy until today when calling for my repeat prescription (as I have done so for past 2 years) was refused advising I had to do it online or with a blank template they have at the practiced. When asked if this was a new requirement, I was told no which is simply untrue. More disappointingly, I asked how to proceed with obtaining my husbands asthma inhaler as he was recently hospitalised, went through name/dob etc but when asked which inhaler I apologised that I didn't know the name and was told 'can't help you then' followed by a laugh. I advised my husband didn't have many puffs but no further assistance without physically attending the practice was provided. Real shame that they have employed someone so rude and unhelpful.

Having flown into a panic after my daughter had a rash that didn’t disappear under the glass test, the receptionist got me an appointment within the hour. The doctor named Sarah and a nurse that were both present at the appointment, were so incredible with my daughter, so thorough with checking her and clearly so experienced. Couldn’t have asked for better care or nicer people. They were amazing.

We moved to Rudgwick 7 years ago and the entire medical team here have been absolutely brilliant. I have lived with a long term health condition and the care, compassion, understanding and support they have offered have been unparalleled.
Yes, you have to be triaged whether through the phone or econsult, but when it has really mattered we have had the care we needed as a family.

Had the flu and bronchitis in December. Was told after 3 days of waiting to hear from them that i had to fill out a covid diary for a week then they would consider what to do next. My partner drove to crawley walk in where we waited for 5 hours. Dr there couldn't believe we had not been seen.
Since then i have broken my ankle but after 8 days of waiting for a sick note i have been told they are far too busy to do this.
Absolutely disgusting

I registered with Rudgwick Medical Centre after moving to a nearby village. I've been to many GP surgeries in the past and can say Rudgwick Medical Centre is the worst. On quite a few occasions, follow-up calls were not made when they should have been; prescriptions were misplaced; overly long wait times to hear back regarding routine queries. Getting prescriptions during a lunchbreak is nigh-on impossible since the dispensary is closed between 12-2. I realise the surgery is small and serves quite a large community, but it should do that - serve the community and make their services - especially face-to-face appointments - accessible and easily available to all. EConsult is indeed a great triaging tool but I feel on many occasions, it's used for the benefit of expediency as opposed to in the interest of patients.

Some other people seem to have had positive experiences, so I'll just put this down to me and move to a bigger practice.

Worst Medical practise I've found.

Having moved from Ockley some years ago I found it a shocking contrast to Capel surgery which was efficient from the moment I arrived.

This place has gone from pretty bad to utterly disgraceful.

The have refused on a few recent occasions to see our 2 year old with a dangerously High temperatures and other serious issues which ended up 3 times in A&E with complaints from those hospitals. A 2 year old with these symptoms is meant to be a priority.

One of the doctors listed at the practise doesn't even work on site and lives in Cornwall.

The "Receptionist Triage" system is an utter failure and just a firewall to been seen by a doctor. Referring to these people as "Care Navigators" is ridiculous.

This place needs a complete shake up by the CQC and I sincerely hope they will be investigated in the latest round of government investigations into GP surgeries falling short of their duties and forcing people into A&E centres.

I'm will be seeking other methods of care from now on...
