Trying to see a GP these days simply gets harder and harder and it’s a task in itself which affects most people. However whilst I have only gave two stars to the practice I would like to award FIVE stars to Dr David MacMillan. A 5 star review for a five star Doctor.

Phoned surgery at 8am Monday 2nd September. Call was answered very quickly considering it was a Monday. Receptionist arranged appointment 10.30am at Blaydon Primary Care to see a nurse Monday 2nd September.Attended my appointment and Rachel could not have been more helpful. I need an appointment in the future Rachel arranged.
Cannot fault the service I received.

Phoned last week for my tablets as I lost the repeat prescription leaflets rang up was told by receptionist she'll sort it out.. nearly Saturday and guess what no tablets. Which are actually to keep my heart going.

Just so wrong to be told it's getting sorted n then nothing.

Useless reception staff - been in queue for over 20 mins now, still 2nd in line. A shame because the GPs/Nurses are generally good.

Absolutely useless. Tried to get referral for secondary care from GP, wasnt given one and was referred to mental health nurse who doesn't understand the difference between talking therapies you can self refer to and secondary care. Tried to explain myself about 3 times but to no avail. Absolute joke

Wouldn’t have give it a star but had to just to leave a review. Absolutely rubbish surgery. So much for improving the practice by merging the 4 together. It’s made it worse not better.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Receptionists demand to know what your aliment is and do not respect your privacy. Patient care doesn't exist here, and they do not accept responsibility when they are cleary in the wrong. Mental health services are truely shocking, nothing is followed up or acted upon.

Doctor has prescribed my father new medication which is making him worse. Tried ringing every day at 8am and 15th in queue. When you get through you get told there’s no appointments left and to ring 111. The surgery has gotten even worse since the takeover.
