Terrible surgery. Firstly can never get through phone lines, tried to get an appointment online which I was then informed was cancelled, I called and they had no appointments available. They said they would call back and didn’t. I went in to speak to someone to try to get an appointment to which I was rudely shut down and told to go online like the two people in line before me who also left disgruntled and talked down to. I asked at least to check my records and see if there was any mention of being called back, they had assumed I didn’t need it yet. I explained several times I needed my appointment now and had an almost argument about what I needed with the receptionist who was convinced I was wrong about my own body. They are rude and unhelpful. Simple as that.

This surgery should be burnt to the ground!!
I never had so a bad experience anywhere.
At least 45min to 1 hour on the phone every time. They never had an appointment in the current week. Plexiglass in a reception like in a jail. Unhelpfully and rude staff!
Just don't go there otherwise you will lose your mental health after you spend a few minutes in this building.

I have only needed the surgery in a couple of occasions, every time staff have been professional and compassionate. I have felt supported and welcome all along.

Admittedly up until today, I have not tried to book appointments to see a GP, just nurses for blood tests, but the reception staff are always helpful. However the surgery have just launched an E consult system. Instead of the soul destroying 8am rush, you apply online. I filled out the form at 10am, got a phone call from my GP at 1am offering an appt at 16.46... works for me

Booking an appointment here can only be done on the day by phone for the same day two weeks in advance (I have yet to visit the surgery when it opens to attempt this - they are usually very good with same day appointments).

Regardless of any attempt, by phone, there are only a limited number of appointments available on the future date. As such, if you've called at 08:30, when the lines open and your in a queue of 35+ callers, the opportunity to get an appointment is slim, if at all.

I appreciate that the surgery are doing the best they can, given that locally, existing facilities are limited, the population is ever increasing and wider practices close placing more demand on those existing.

I've given three stars as I believe that the actual healthcare service is good here, however, the process for those looking to get care is somewhat difficult and frustrating.

The irony is, would it be any better elsewhere in Trowbridge, probably not.

Having moved from Sussex to Wiltshire and signing up with this practise. I regret moving house. It would be quicker and easier to get an appointment there and travel then try to get one with this surgery. Every day for the last month I have rang to try and get an appointment regarding my repeat medication. The only time I have been able to get through there are no appointments left and I am told to try again tomorrow. It’s a really sorry state of affairs. If anyone has any recommendations of other practises near to this one I would welcome the recommendation/advice.

Went into the doctors like 3 weeks ago for anxiety and depression, got signed off for 3 weeks, then had an appointment call with a DIFFERENT doctor just to be told “I don’t think you’ve got depression and anxiety, go back to work you’re fine” I’m absolutely disgusted with this surgery, they hand out way too many appointments and aren’t able to fit them all in and if they do their 30mins to an hour late! PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE!!

This has to be the worst practice in Wiltshire, if not the country. With hour long waiting times to speak to reception and for you to continually call back because they didn't pass the information on with the first call, cancellations a day before your appointment via text to say your appointment has been cancelled and you'll have to call to rebook a new one, even though its a three week wait for an appointment, incompetent staff who seem to enjoy chatting about their day instead of doing their job, the list goes on and on and I'm sure the music you listen to while waiting on the line has been deliberately chosen to make you either go insane or to put down the phone because you just can't take it anymore (my best is 67min, can you beat it). I waited over twelve months for a referral to be issued by the doctor as i was lost in their system. This was only completed when I made a formal NHS complaint about the sub standards this practice provides and their inability to do their jobs. All I can say is if you're registered here or thinking about registering, then look at alternatives, and please don't get ill, as you'll probably be dead before anyone gets back to you!
